Re: OPC Recommendations for Servicing Up North
I got the car from Nottingham, but now use Hull, been happy with them so far. They don’t seem to have many courtesy cars but are happy to collect and return if you can manage without your car for a day, they even picked up the Humber bridge toll and didn’t charge me for it!

Re: Tool Update
At 6ft 2ins I’m one of the shorter people in the family, getting the centre of the roof cleaned isn’t a problem!

Re: Green Mold on window seals
Car was due a brake pad inspection and software update. They valeted the car including removing the green mold that had built up over the winter on the window sealing strips. Not sure what they did but it came back absolutely gleaming! I’d like to say it was free, but they convinced me to have an oi...

Re: Oil change warning v service indicator
Well I bit the bullet and had the full service done 3 months early at a cost of approx £1250 including vat. Bit that really gets me is the three labour charges for cleaning out the various drains which came to almost £350!!! Service indicators now say service due in 20,000 miles or 2 years but the o...

Re: Porsche Macan EV delayed
Problem with getting any EV is charging out here in the sticks, I have a drive and a 7kW charger for the wife’s Mini, but to charge anything with a bigger battery I’d need 3 phase power to the house and a conservative estimate for that was over £15k and that’s if I dug the trench across my garden an...

Re: Oil change warning v service indicator
Been through the service info screens, see attached photos, one says service in 5200 miles or June 23 and the other says Oil change now. That’s the only info I have other than the oil level indication which shows it to be pretty much full as I added a litre of oil a couple of months ago.

Re: Boot lid opens when car starts!
Not only a Porsche problem, my wife’s JCW Mini Countryman rear hatch used to randomly open itself and close itself when you had your head inside loading it. She would come back to the car park and find the boot lid open when it was definitely shut when she left it. Only did it when parked, never whe...

Re: Oil change warning v service indicator
On-track makes an interesting point, I had no warning to change oil in xxx miles just the message on the mfd screen “oil change now”. Have others had a countdown warning for oil change, on my previous Macan I remember getting a countdown to when it needed a service. The comment about it happening af...

Re: Oil change warning v service indicator
Like the thought of saving money but not the thought of laying in the drive under the car in this weather - garage occupied by my Lotus - all up on stands mid rebuild. Nearest indy Porsche specialist almost as far away as the dealer and their prices aren't cheap either. Not doing much mileage recent...
