Re: Configurator diesel warning

Over on Pistonheads, someone is posting in one of the Porsche forums that there is a 'stop sale' on new, unregistered SDs from 1st March, on the basis that the cars will not be legal to register after that date until a fix (the software improvement identified above?) has been implemented in an as-ye...

I can’t see how tyre depths would affect in any way the issuing of a used car mechanical warranty? The only benefit would be to the parts dept.
I suspect that that's going to be the thing, Paul...

Tyre tread depth for warranty renewal

Does anyone know what the minimum tyre tread depth is for renewing the extended warranty with Porsche (ie: does the 112-point check have a specific requirement on this)? I'm guessing it will likely be somewhat greater than legal minimums (even though tyres arean't covered by the warranty anyway...)....

Re: Why doesn't P gear engage Parking Brake?

If you come to a stop on an uphill gradient using the foot brake , turn off the ignition and release the foot brake ( forgetting to switch the parking brake on ) then the car will roll back and lock the PDK gearbox. I inadvertently did it a few times in my 981 Boxster and a couple of times in the M...

Re: Towbar recommendations?

Hi Phil As I said, absolutely no cutting of parts required on my car. Fitting is really straightforward (and illustrated instructions are provided). In summary, you just remove the rear bumper (easy), unbolt the metal bumper armature (4 bolts) that goes across the car and replace it with the tow bar...

Re: Towbar recommendations?

Hi Phil I, too, couldn't get comfortable with the £2,000 plus cost of this. I bought and fitted a bar and a dedicated electrics module and wiring kit last summer and it took less than half a day to fit, with no invasive work (no cutting of bumper trim panels) required. Looking back over the details,...

Porsches On The Prom

I'm going to the Anglesey track day with PCGB on the Saturday and staying over for the Prom event. Thought the Macan might be a bit out of sorts alongside the others on track so will be in a 997.1 GT3. Horses for courses...

Collected !!

Hah - have more or less the identical photo (same colour, too) in that very same spot from just after picking up my car in Aberdeen last July. Was just starting on the way back to leafy Warwickshire; a great first drive.
