Re: new owner (almost - deposit down) with some questions
My SD had no noticeable lips on the brakes at 35K miles. I've always been a light brake user, but mine was never used as a courtesy car for 11K miles! My 18" allseason tyres lasted for 30K as well. My aircon was still working fine at 3 years old as well, though my OPC tried to get me to service i...

Re: NFU Insurance for Macan
Thanks for the positive feedback regarding NFU insurance. The two year back to invoice sounds like their USP which would save on GAP. Do you know if they allow use of Porsche approved repairers and allow the OPC to use OEM glass for windscreen replacement? Paul Yes they allowed porsche approved rep...

Re: What’s this Macan worth now and in say 4 years time
I' ve just sold mine. Nov 2016 with 35000 miles on it.
An SD with 5K extras.
I was surprised that "We buy any car" gave me the best price (A bit less than £30K)
In reverse order Porsche main dealer was the lowest offer, then my brother in law, then an independant dealer.

Re: Windscreen cracked.
I've just had my screen changed by my Sheffield OPC for reasons of warranty security.
They said they get in a specialist ( Autoglass?) to change the screen, but they then reprogram everything.
I paid the OPC then NFU paid me back directly in to my bank account, minus a £70 excess. No problems.

Re: Tracker activated disabling car...
Do porsche assist have their own people? We just rang the porsche number and fortunately a nice AA man was a few miles away. We were told it could be 2 hours. ( Hot saturday teatime on world cup football day !) Fortunately my son was driving past on his way from work and " re-homed my wife and ...

Tracker activated disabling car...
On Saturday, just before the England match,I popped into local Garage for a Newspaper. It was a very hot day so I left the engine running with Air con on (wife and 2 dogs in the car.) When I returned to the car the engine had stopped. It wouldn't restart and I saw a momentary Gearbox failure warning....

They gave me a BMW 116d last year as a loaner.
Not so easy to get in and out of and you seemed to sit so low down.

I had to read that twice.
I thought 99 Euros was a bit dear for only 2 hours charging.
I see you got the tesla model X thrown in for free...

Re: Huge Cost for Wheel Alignment
My OPC quoted a special price of £150 after they'd informed me my macan was slightly toeing out. A local garage "lasered" mine for £60. Nice cup of tea and biscuits while I waited as well. :) So they must have checked the alignment to know it was out and then wanted £150 for essentially f...
