Re: Spotted the most appropriate reg plate ever...

Numerous times shortly before taking delivery of our S we parked next to a very shiny Mazda, reg MX54JOY. I don't go in for personalised plates, but when I saw a reg with the letters ODE on the list of numbers offered by the OPC I had to have it. Sadly, we never saw the Mazda again.

Re: Macan Diesel EGT Valve

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if a fault comes to light before you have had the vehicle 6 months you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. Under this law it is assumed that the fault was present at the time of purchase unless the seller can prove otherwise. Unless you agree otherwise...

Re: Fourteen way seats

Well spotted. But it doesn't explain why the seat backs are different, and different in a different way to the 14 way seats. If there's a logic to the passenger seat back being inward curving with 14 way seats, whilst the driver's seat is outward curving, why are the standard seats the opposite way ...

Fourteen way seats

A bit of trivia really, but puzzling. At the weekend our eagle-eyed daughter spotted that the plastic shells on the back of the front seats are different shapes. The passenger seat curves inward about halfway down, but the driver's seat back curves out. Curious, she then searched Macan reviews, and ...

My favourite is Way-eece - for Wales - when joining the M4 westbound from Bath. To be fair, Wales is mis-spelt in the system as Waies.

Re: Insurance 30% hike...

Premiums can be surprisingly sensitive to small reductions in estimated annual mileage. I've previously tended to err a bit on the high side with my estimate, but this year was able to reduce the renewal premium with NFU by 5% after shaving off a couple of thousand miles. The policy T&Cs state that ...

Re: Huge Cost for Wheel Alignment

  Just had the GTS into the OPC for a wheel alignment. There has been some confusion as their system had it in for a check up just to look at the wheels :x So they can't do it today and I over on a long drive fro a couple of days. More wear on the front outside shoulders. :( Anyway, t...

Re: All wheel drive indicator

This happened when I was driving at PEC a couple of years ago. We pulled off the track and the instructor radioed base for advice after switching off and restarting didn't work. I think the advice was switch off, remove key, then restart. That worked. I got the impression from the conversation with ...

Re: Cabin Ventilation Fan Noise

The AC in our Macans is cr4p, there is no other way of describing it. They must have a far better system that they install for Macans going to hot climates because there is no way ours could cope with a 30+ degree C outside temperature. Mine is struggling today despite the outside air temp showing ...

Bonnet safety catch just sliding across without releasing bonnet. I can’t see any way to get in with a screwdriver etc, looks like a visit to the dealers.
2018 Macan S any body else had this problem ?
Have you tried lifting the bonnet slightly whilst sliding the catch?
