Re: Bad stone chip

That price is probably typical Porsche body shop. Quite a few Macan bonnets always on Ebay for a few hundred. A good body shop will spray and you'd have plenty left from £2.5K. Here's one which appears to be in metallic black:- [url]https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PORSCHE-MACAN-BONNET-2014-ONWARDS-GENUIN...

Re: Bad stone chip

Hopefully not, but it might be worse than a full bonnet respray should you decide to have it done "professionally". A lunatic white Merc Sprinter van doing 90+ on m/way drifted towards the centre Armco and sent up a chuck of rock which caused a dent like yours in the bonnet of my Macan. Be...

Re: Re-progamming DME Control Unit

"Whether that results in less chance/need for DPF regen work - I guess only time will tell." That the Sport mode can't be maintained at a steady m-way speed is a retrograde step IMHO. I would use Sport to get the revs above 2k for 10 mins 'now & again' to get the DPF cleaned a bit. I f...

Re: NFU Insurance for Macan

Insurance due in a couple of weeks and broker wanting another GBP60 over last year's premium with RSA, who I've been with for years. This prompted an online search and in view of these comments, looking at NFU. Now I'm sceptical of online reviews in general but couldn't help being disuaded by "...

Re: Rim protection

3 or 4 years back, Alloygators were fitted to all 4 wheels of a (demo) Audi I purchased from dealership. After maybe a couple of months with the car, I noticed that the 'gators were beginning to separate from between the tyre & rim on both front wheels but not the rear ones. Some researching cam...

Re: Re-progamming DME Control Unit

Likewise...just rec'd letter from Porsche UK for my diesel. I'm inclined to await definitive comments on here about any after effects following the "update". No point asking the stealership for advice, they'll be wanting to do it and get the £££s from Porsche. Currently, with my regular jo...

Re: Fuel consumption

Sadly, have to do regular trip from near Rugby to Cheshire. Apart from the relief of the M6 toll it's purgatory all the way with the SPECS and gantry cameras. Last time in heavy congestion though I recorded this on final arrival. ("Coasting" was activated)
