Re: Traction control fault?

Had it badly on the Cayman, not so much on the Macan GTS (AS tyres I think make a difference) and pretty bad on the 911 GTS but, as you say Ferdie, better when it's a bit warmer.

Re: Winter tyres - question re tyres 20 wheels (Cayenne)

I can't see those tyres fitting those rims FWIW, they are worlds apart.

Re: Windscreen cracked

Had my Macan windscreen replaced twice in 12 months by Autoglass using OEM screen and they did the calibration. No problem at all and very efficient.

Re: Macan 2.0 Test Drive

My wife's Q5 has the 2 litre lump up front and, although not breathed on by Porsche, it is definitely no slouch and more than quick enough to lose your license if you're not careful. Having had a Macan GTS the main difference is the refinement of the V6 compared to the 4 pot but it is still a good p...

Re: Porsche and BMW EV charging

My mate with a Model S (85) tried to do a comparison and calculated it works out at about £7 for a full charge (as opposed to c £80 to fill up a Macan). There isn't actually an awful lot of difference in the real world range between a Model S and a Macan GTS but even if the range of the GTS were 100...

Re: Financing your Macan

I look at it in a different way. I know that one day I’m going to die and at my age that event is getting closer much more quickly than if I was still in my twenties or thirties. I’m at a point in my career where I can generate more income than I need to live a comfortable life and I have assets an...

Re: Is the Sport/Chrono Option a Waste of Money? Discuss

The main benefit of SC is that the "wart," as some people like to call it, breaks up the vast dash but you can do that for a lot less with the compass. Had it on the GTS at the suggestion of the SE but rarely used it and have it on the 911 as it was standard but have yet to use it. Preferred mode of...

Re: Exterior Colour

I don't see why it should harm residuals, lots of people like wild colours on Porsche cars and what is one person's dislike is another person's want to have. Personally, I wouldn't have Miami Blue but I had Night Blue and there were plenty of people happy to knock that colour. I loved it and it sold...

Re: Quickest Christophus read

It's a vehicle for advertising expensive crap. Once in a blue moon there is an interesting article in it like the feature on the upcoming Taycan but mostly it's rubbish and expensively produced rubbish at that. I am an ardent Porsche fan but find Christophorus somewhat pointless!
