Re: New Taycan

Cant get a test drive currently and long waiting list too. Apparently OPCs also have very limited used stock (slightly over 50% of normal) and consequently 2nd hand prices are pretty firm across the range so a good time to sell if you're thinking of changing.

Re: Login details not accepted first time

Ultimately it’s more of an irritation than a massive issue. There is never an issue when logging in from an email link so guess another slightly peculiar quirk

Re: New Taycan

I’m going to look at one tomorrow more out of interest than a desire to change and have requested a test drive (this seems to be a bit like asking to hold the Crown Jewels in these times). I have heard from a couple of OPCs that the Taycan is their fastest selling model with the longest waiting time...

Re: Hi! Cayman S owner ...switching to a Macan here

I think your biggest problem with a diesel Macan is the lack of mileage, particularly if it involves short journeys - e.g. school run. It's a great and efficient mile muncher but wouldn't touch one otherwise. And whilst the Macan is a supremely capable car it is no sports car and the transition from...

Re: Finance options

Personally I would still hold that everyone’s circumstances are different and there really is no right or wrong answer to this conundrum. Please don’t think this applies to me as it is only an illustration You have £100k in investment that returns, on average, 8% pa so, after 3 years would be worth ...

Re: OPC tyres prices

Apart from the absolute cost I have centre lock wheels and I’m not sure how well they would be dealt with by a traditional tyre fitter. OPC will use black weights on the satin black wheels and you have somewhere to come back to if anything is ballsed up. I think I paid £15 per corner over black circ...

There is always a buyer for something like this but it's a matter of reaching them. Good luck

Re: Finance options

There are no rights or wrongs here and you need to factor in how hard your money is working for you if it's invested (assuming you have money invested). I think the biggest issue with PCP is that you are always paying interest on the balloon (GMFV) and consequently your capital repayments are less t...

The instrument panel and interior look night and day better than when I last owned a BMW.
