The main issue is the transfer box on the Macao. Check it doesn’t jump or clunk when reversing on slippery or wet surfaces. It’s a known issue and there is a modification on later cars.
Just a thought, mine was replaced at 15k.

That’s my worry. Hence I’ve extended my warranty. I’ve had a new transfer box but the car still exhibits odd characteristics ie near side rear wheel kind of sticking and jerky on left lock.

I have just had a new transfer box fitted.
My near side rear wheel still does a skip when pulling out of the drive on tight lock.
The faulty box symptoms were worse when reversing, the car jumping on wet surfaces.
