Re: Insurance 30% hike...

A lot of insurers are suffering badly as 2017 losses come in, might make the market more volatile.

Re: Mobile phone holders

Be careful when clipping it onto the vent, one of the children broke my vent with a similar holder.

Re: Leaving The Fraternity

The legislation has been pushed in too fast, most diesels have occasional problems.

Certainly applies to some of our John Deeres and my Mazda.

It's just a pity the problems are so random.

I loved the Cayman and chose to drive that at Silverstone, maybe if the 996 gets tired?

Re: Sat Nav Frustrations...

If you find a solution please share it with all the Polish and Spanish HGV drivers who come up our lane.

We've had a couple capsize going round a bend and one was stuck for a day on the S bend which is tight for a car!

As a comparison we now pay 60p per litre of AdBlu buying 205 litre drums.

Good markup at the dealers.

Hope it's better value than Sugar Beach, paid USD20 for a thimbleful of Pulenta Malbec there so I refused to have a full lunch and one of their rip off sunbeds.

Re: Driving over 2000 revs - not so easy

Presumably then if you drive in a way that keeps the temp and gas flow up you'll never have a worry? I wondered why they don't routinely lag the manifold and pipe to the DPF, might just add a few degrees to the exhaust gas. I've been buying a bit of AdBlu lately and can't see that the amount used by...

Re: oil change

When you allow for the various contributions to our glorious leaders (VAT, PAYE, business rates etc) and business costs like running a building and financing stock they probably don't retain much profit.

Welcome to rip off Britain!

I've got a Mazda reputed to have DPF problems; drive it like you stole it and you'll be fine IME.

I predominantly do very short journeys.

Re: Warranty - void period - what to do?

Isn't the dealer required to give a minimum 3 month warranty?

I've had a few claims under that.
