Re: Macan WheelDamage

The bodyshop attached to Porsche Chester OPC did a great job, painting my wheels to compliment my body colour. Have faith, the exact colour is documented and imo should be able to be matched with ease.

Try Auto Finesse Mint Wheel Wax as a final coating if you do not want to go down the Gtechniq or Gyeon route.
The Auto Finesse Revolution Wheel soap is excellent, I make up a special bucket just for the wheels in addition to Gyeon Q2M Bathe shampoo and Gyeon Q2M Foam stages.

Re: Macan GTS - Which Fuel to use??

Exclusively Shell V-Power Nitro+ (98). I now know where the Shell stations are and make sure I journey past them when I am running low. I have even a few times filled up on the motorway to ensure Shell super goes in my GTS. If you are brand loyal and use their club card scheme you can offset much of...

How do you follow a GTS

Yesterday Chester OPC kindly arranged for me to test drive a Turbo. Whilst not the PP the power was addictive. The Turbo in standard guise is not as agile as my GTS but I can see by applying my existing spec to a Turbo PP I will have a worthy successor to my current Porsche. Roll on when the new eng...

Re: The value of a spare.

IMG_20170703_085113.jpg Just 2,500 miles travelled and the first time to the tip with cardboard boxes on Saturday and a screw deflates my offside rear tyre. Thankfully for Porsche Assist and tyre insurance I will be back on the road today. Silly me though nearly killed myself with exhaustion using ...

Sport is all I really need

So 2k miles has come and gone and I have been trying my Sports+ button. Yes the launch control is addictive (3 x now) but I am not a paddles guy and I just think it is too much for any of my driving. That being said I do prefer the dampers on Sports+ setting. I am wondering was it that I felt I shou...

Re: Car connect app not able to connect to GTS

I thought I should confirm all working again, however it has been very costly for Porsche ... because I expressed my concern about invalidating my insurance as it specifies a Cat5 tracker I requested an indemnity until this was working again. They rang Porsche Assist who have an agreement with Enter...

Car connect app not able to connect to GTS

I notice yesterday that my car connect app has not updated my mileage and fuel level since 25 April. When I run the diagnostic it says my iPad is connected to the PCC server but the server cannot connect with the car. Has anyone else experienced this? Also does this mean my tracker is not talking to ...

Can you afford your car?

Since I was 18, now 39 I have owned with respective partners 24 cars 18 of them from brand new via PCP. A few I have kept for almost 3 years. If you get use to a monthly payment and your lifestyle allows then I don't think there is a right or wrong way to fund. A friend recently decided to pay his b...
