Re: B pillar trim warranty issue?

The part is 28quid so I'm just going to fit it myself rather than argue. I guess just a warning to all to make sure the car door is closed using the handle rather than pushing the trim because I guess it could have been repeated pushing of that over time which caused it. Now I have got my wife a bmw...

Re: B pillar trim warranty issue?

Total cost for them to fit is 300 but I haven't asked for just the price of the part yet. There is a YouTube video of how to fit so if it comes to that I may fit it myself, depending on what proportion is labour.

B pillar trim warranty issue?

Hi, Has anyone else had any issue with cracked b pillar trim? I noticed a crack in mine when washing the car and it has not received and knocks. However, my OPC is refusing to cover under warranty, as they say it has been caused by "damage". Car is coming up 3yrs old and photo below. Just ...

Re: Bad stone chip

I have got a quote of 120 for PDR just to remove the dent and then I am left with just a standard stone chip, which is much easier to live with. I can then just apply touch up and it goes from a 5m fault to a 0.5m fault, which I can live with.

Re: Bad stone chip

Just got a quote from a Porsche approved repairer based on photos. Small change from 2500 mostly labour, ouch! I am sure the quote is reasonable for a high quality repair so now I just have to decide how important it is to me, as I am keeping it long term.

Re: Bad stone chip

The car is 2yrs6mnths old paid cash new and I intend to keep it a long time. I am soon getting a electric run around for my wife so it will be kept for just long journeys, holidays and weekends. Whatever I do I will wait until then to get it fixed. I'll get a few quotes and try and find an alu speci...

Bad stone chip

Any advice for this stone chip dent that must have been cause by a large stone? I wasn't in the car so no idea and wife vaguely remembers a large clunk. So far I am told it will need the whole bonnet repainted, which I feared. I am in North Herts. To help orientate the photo it is near the front bet...

Re: Gtechniq

I have the gtechniq Cs black on my car applied by Pro detailer and it is amazing. However, as stated by someone else, these coatings are susceptible to water spots because of the beading, which essentially collects the water and hence deposits in small spots as the beads dry. I once just rinsed my c...

Re: UK Winter Driving in a GTS, Tyre/Wheel Advice Please

I bought some after market 19" wheels and tyres for my GTS. They are mak rennen with n rated dunlop winter sport tyres. About 1600 all in. Got them between the snow falls last winter and the difference from the summer tyres was astonishing. Need to go to 19" if you might want to fit chains...

Re: Insurance 30% hike...

Wow, Aviva 30% cheaper than best quote on comparison and renewal from admiral, and that's without the tracker enabled. I'll try a few others still but much happier. Thanks for advice.
