Re: My order / Storage pack / Connect Plus / Colours vs Marketing

Connect Plus is impenetrably complicated, and nobody seems to know exactly what it might do, or might not do. The details on the Porsche website are so confusing. I paid Vodafone for the first year, and I've now been asked to renew. Not sure whether to or not - it's £266 for the next year. I suppose...

Re: My order / Storage pack / Connect Plus / Colours vs Marketing

I just keep a couple of cheap collapsible plastic crates in the boot to put odd parcels in.

Re: Macan S

Back to options... I am considering a tow-bar for somewhat odd reason. Coming from the colonies, where tail-gating is a national sport, tow-bar used to gives me rear-end protection. Is that a desirable feature in the UK? Don't think so, a towbar will make no difference to whether you're tail-gated ...

Re: Black rear badges

I certainly wouldn't try to fit them myself without a template - the tiniest positioning error would stand out.

Re: 21" too big?

Definitely a lot in what you say here, although since my Macan ownership (6 months on 20", nearly 3 years on 21") I've had zero wheel damage either, but I suspect that's more down to surround cameras than anything else! All of my previous motoring years have had at least one minor scuff, so I'm con...

Re: Macan S

My wife & I did Tuscany to Essex in one go some years ago in a 7-series. About 1000 miles, wonderful trip!

Re: A good wash & polish

I bought a RaceGlaze filter for use on my Macan, but I also bought a window cleaning kit too, so I could claim that the filter was needed for the window cleaning! My wife's very happy with cleaner windows. I'm very happy with a sparkling car!

Re: 21" too big?

I chose 20" SportDesign wheels for my Macan, and I've been very happy with the choice. The ride is good (my wife is even impressed with the Comfort setting) and, best of all, the wheels are so easy to clean!

Re: Porsche sales up - despite shut down

As long as residuals remain strong, does it really matter all that much? You've got to consider total cost of ownership and depreciation is a huge factor, especially in the luxury car market. Depreciation certainly is important, but published depreciation figures are fairly meaningless, as they're ...

Re: Porsche sales up - despite shut down

I wonder to what extent the Porsche volume figures were enhanced by pre-registration of cars which didn't have WLTP certificates? If you look at the Porsche approved used website, there are large numbers of pre-registered cars.
