Re: Rear Windscreen Wiper.

I have binned it Neil, because when I remonstrated with the OPC, they said that their replacements were Bosch and I couldn't see any difference between theirs and the one I bought - I examined both carefully with my extended warranty in mind!

Replacement rear wiper cost at OPC

During a regular service at my local OPC (Tonbridge), I received a phone call saying everything was good, but the rear wiper needed replacing and could they do it for me. Just before I said "yes", I asked "how much" and the answer was a staggering £68 - so I said "no" a...

Re: Warning Lights, Dashboard Like A Christmas Tree!

Further to the above, OPC now dealing with the car as a "Recovery" issue. Fortunately I extended the warranty because the technician from Tonbridge called on Friday afternoon to report that the problem was one of the speed sensors had failed. Apparently any of these sensors differing by >1...

Re: Warning Lights, Dashboard Like A Christmas Tree!

Thanks Custard for a very detailed write-up. I had exactly the same messages driving back from France last week with a fully loaded car. Called my OPC and the lass I spoke to immediately said "Oh it's the cruise control. Just don't use that and all will be OK." Shutting down the engine and...

Re: Speed Limit Indicator

And the good news is that if you did not spec it on delivery, you can retrofit it in about 5 minutes with the Kufatec dongle (€188). We're had ours for 2 years and it's completely brilliant and performs like the "real one" - probably is! Macan went in for 111-point check and it was not men...

Re: Dings and Paintless Dent Removal (PDR)

<<The problem with TLAs (three letter abbreviations) is not everyone will understand them.>>

A lifetime working with Boeing where TLAs were replaced with FLAs (you've guessed it) - and that also stands for FIVE letter Acronyms!

Re: Electric??

That's exactly what we did 2 years ago. We bought an i3 with a Range Extender and about 18000 miles on the clock. The REX is not made any more, but we were so pleased with it that we tracked down a newer one with only 6000 miles. Mrs old stewardess loves it to bits and I use it whenever I only have ...

Re: Hi! Just joined looking for a Macan

I'm with SAC1 all the way. Before my Macan I always had a sunroof until I bought a CR-V with a panoramic non-opening glass roof. That made me vow I'd never buy another car that didn't offer an opening option.
Nearly four years into this car, I'm delighted with the roof - no probs at all.
