Re: Bolt(s) from the blue

The part where he talks about the 911 being reliable is bollocks too.

Re: 2020 new car market and beyond...

The idea is that the motor just helps you up the steep climbs. Not much use on flat and a bit of a disadvantage on downhills. Why not just buy a really nice full suss mtb? I currently have a Canyon Neuron with Factory spec Fox suspension, carbon frame and wheels. 130 mm travel at both ends. 12 vs 20...

Re: Have you changed your behaviour during the lockdown?

I decided to get more active, to build up my immune system, as we are genetically programmed to fight off viruses. For the last two months, every morning I am doing push-ups and I ride bicycle in the afternoon ~ every second day. I decided that something positive must come out of this fiasco. So, i...

Hi Paul. Just curious to see how things are going in the Porsche world. Tesla still going strong, very much EV present and future for me. Wife still hates her diesel but doesn't drive enough to be bothered changing it for an EV yet. Video was interesting although didn't learn anything new. EVs are g...

Re: Taycan

Any sign of the £60-70k version that was touted all over the press a couple of years ago? Or is it £100k starter?

Re: 2020 new car market and beyond...

Very interesting observations and I share the sentiment. Actually, I am thinking of becoming more env-friendly by getting an electric mountain bike to balance my Macan S and R9T motorcycle footprint. With an e-MTB I will get some physical exercise and do my bit for the planet: https://www.ducati.co...

And In April Tesla Model 3 with 15% of all UK sales was the best selling model. Few showrooms and most sales online could well be the reason
Plus they are actually really good.

Re: EV in 2021 but Petrol to stay until 2024

Interesting. My Tesla costs me roughly £6 per 200 miles. Or free if I'm charging away from home on longer runs. So it's going to be a very long time before it costs more to run than any of my previous fossil cars. I would think twice before moving away from Tesla simply because of their excellent su...

Re: New Macan Out in 2021

I’d like to throw in an issue with <del> electric cars </del> Nissan Leafs that I am seeing with my own now FTFY Don’t understand It's more of a problem with the Leaf battery (well documented) than an inherent problem with all electric cars. Tesla batteries have proven to be very robust, typically ...

An EV would be an hour minimum
No it wouldn't. More like 30-40 mins max. IME with a Tesla and they are getting quicker.
