Re: Transfer box failed
I have just joined the extended club of Macan owners with a faulty transfer box on my GTS. Luckily this is being covered by the 7 year warranty for this specific component and is being replaced by my OPC. However I gather there are supply chain issues in the UK in relation to bolts and brackets requ...

Re: Car connect app not able to connect to GTS
Mmm.. that blows my current theory! . Lets see what Porsche has to say as they are still "investigating". Lots of variables it seems.

Re: Car connect app not able to connect to GTS
The key question is how long can your car be left in a weak connection spot before it gets locked in a loop. I think it may be 3-5 days (so the odd day in a deep underground car park should be ok) but I have asked for confirmation. I gather also that this problem is not limited to Macans if that mak...

Re: Car connect app not able to connect to GTS
Latest feedback from my OPC via Porsche Technical is that there is a fault in the VTS / PCC Control Unit where it loses GSM Signal (in poor reception areas like certain parts of the South West) and it gets stuck in a loop trying to search for a connection. Once this happens it cannot even reconnect ...

Re: Car connect app not able to connect to GTS
My remote services in my Car Connect have packed up again so the new VTS unit has lasted about 7 days since replacement. I have spoken to the OPC and I am booked in for further investigation later in Sept. Wondering if there is a faulty batch of VTS units lurking or it could be a software fault caus...

Re: Car connect app not able to connect to GTS
Replacement Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) now fitted by OPC and remote services sprung back to life :) . This has taken some determined effort and I should no longer receive the Vodafone warning letters. I gather the VTS module is c£800 so glad to have it fixed under waranty. Will be testing it thor...

Re: Car connect app not able to connect to GTS
Car booked in next week for final fix I hope. I think there are many variables but my mobile Porsche Connect app consistently fails to reach the car even when parked in a strong signal area. I'm sure you have tried the built in Diagnostic Test in the app? I think this is the same basic test that Vod...

Re: Car connect app not able to connect to GTS
I also have an early 2017 GTS which has been near perefect bar the Car Connect service. It is reassuring to read that I am not alone! I have made numerous calls to Vodafone - had their warning letters to say the car is not visible and taken the car back to OPC twice for a fix but it is still not wor...
