Re: Adrian Flux Insurance

They’ve quoted £1,1160 for my new 911 992 Carrera S so that’s maybe not too bad?

Re: Porsche warranty

My new car warranty expires on June 30 2020. I plan to buy a 2 year warranty extension but need to get a 111 check done first. On the Porsche website it says: "All Porsche vehicles with a New Car Manufacturers Guarantee which expires between 1 March 2020 and 31 May 2020 will receive a three mon...

Re: Keep your battery healthy too

Should we all be putting our cars onto to trickle/ battery conditioning machines if we’re unable to drive them.

If the answer is yes, what recommendations are there for such machines?

Re: MOT's to be suspended for [up to] 6 months

My MOT and initial 3 year warranty are due/expire on July 1. My plan was to take out an extended 2 year Porsche warranty and as required, get the 111 point check and MOT all done at the same. Does anyone know if the MOT is a requirement for getting the extended warranty?

Re: Faulty Car Key/Fob ?

Had a similar problem a few years ago with a BMW. Out of the blue my car wouldn’t open using the remote. I used the key to get in and drove a short distance from my house. Tried the remote again and it worked. Called the dealer and they couldn’t figure it out. Drove back and forth and the problem/ s...

Re: 911 Trade in value - am I being screwed?

Thanks everyone for your comments. I have 4 choices; Keep it longer as I do still enjoy it especially when it’s all cleaned up and shiny See if I can find a good spec S or 4S 991 but younger than my one Look at a 718 Cayman Go back to a Macan S which I really enjoyed Cars - we love them and hate the...

Re: 911 Trade in value - am I being screwed?

I’m equally hacked off by the horrendous profiteering that’s going on with the OPC’s.

2.5 years ago I got 75% for my Macan S as a trade in against the 911. My expectation is that a 911 would achieve at least that.

Re: 911 Trade in value - am I being screwed?

So I went to another OPC and got the trade in value up to £58k. I reminded them that the average price on the Porsche used cars website was around £74k but this didn’t wash with them. They said that there are indeed cars priced at £74k but they are not selling and if they ultimately do it’s for arou...

Re: 911 Trade in value - am I being screwed?

VanB; As you suggest I'm now leaning heavily towards keeping it for longer. I think you are right on both comments; "I think they either just don't want it or are simply taking the piss". I didn't buy the car from my local OPC because their deal was not as good as elsewhere. I do however g...
