Re: Battery replacement
A quick follow up on this one. I read somewhere that the smart alternator only charges during engine braking. Now, as my Macan is currently only used for short (5 mile) runs it clearly wasn't getting enough charge. I connected up a Ctek charger to it which took two days to fully charge the 105ah bat...

Battery replacement
My 2017 Macan Diesel could do with a new battery. It seems replacing the battery is not as simple as just replacing the battery. The new battery has to be coded back to the car so the car knows how to charge it correctly. If I was to buy the exact same battery and during the replacement process I co...

Visited there an hour or so ago.Bluesnose1812 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 8:05 pm They're only an hour from me so let us know if you are satisfied with the service.
They no longer service Macan's because they are "too big". Apparently they take up two service bays so they no longer service them.

PDK oil was changed at 36,500 miles, so about 7,500 miles ago.
This was the quote I received for this service.

Macan Diesel 60k service
My 2017 Macan is just coming up to 44,000 miles, last service (the big one) was done at 36,500 miles 24 months ago. Called the dealer to book it in for a minor service today, this is essentially an oil and filter change, air filter change, cabin filter change, brake fluid change, Ad Blu top up. The ...

Re: Pads and discs
after a full day at porsche silverstome in a macan, working it hard not a slightest sign of any brake issues at all, so really question a wraped disc? if you also concider the porsche attitude towards brakes, they are second to non, designed to stop the car in half the time it takes to get to the s...

Re: Pads and discs
One cause can be by sitting on the brakes for a while. Another cause of brake judder is if the wheels have been off and when put back on there are deposits between the hub and face of the wheel. I could very well be the one who needs correcting though as I see you took it to RPM technik who know a ...
