Re: My first Porsche

The only thing I'd add to the above is that if you plan on towing anything or carrying any heavy loads the air suspension becomes more useful. I also live in a very rural area with some seriously bad roads. My SD is on 18" wheels with air for the exact reason that it gives the best off-road/poo...

Re: Wheels

I'd agree with the above really. I tested: 20" with air - very good overall a 21" with steel and PASM - good handling on flat surfaces, but seriously compromised handling and comfort on anything bumpy, and on bad country lanes was really really horrible and then ordered 18" with air s...

Re: New SD from Silverstone

I still cannot understand the delay. I can only guess that your car must have been one of the last batch of diesels. My SD was registered in February although not sure of its exact build date. I suspect that any software changes were minimal. Yep, think mine was literally the last day or two. My un...

New SD from Silverstone

So I just thought I'd put a little post on here to say that after a very very long wait my SD that was built in February was delivered a few weeks ago! My main reason for posting is just to highlight the amazing service I've had from the team at Porsche Centre Silverstone while we've all been waitin...

Re: Phone holder

Re: New to the Forum & Diesel question

Either way I would not accept the SD, they simply are not worth the hastle and the potential that any mod that the group do will be a botch up temporary fix , you will then still have the risk of DPF issues. It's this bit that I'm getting a bit concerned about. DPF doesn't affect me - we live in th...

Re: New to the Forum & Diesel question

I tow for probably about 60% of my mileage in my GTS Macan (sports cars that can tow have limited options!). I get about 21-22mpg when not towing and about 18-19mpg when towing. Hardly noticeable. Charles, thanks that's super useful info. Thanks. Can I ask what weights you were pulling with that?

Re: New to the Forum & Diesel question

Like frank I'm also only looking at diesel - I tow quite a lot and doing it on a petrol GTS would be prohibitively expensive! I'm guessing by the lack of replies that no-one has any info on what's going on?

Re: New to the Forum & Diesel question

I'm in the same situation. Feb 23rd build - car is apparently still in Germany with no firm ETA. Porsche currently paying for a long term loan car via enterprise. My current understanding is that the 3L diesel is not WLTP tested and won't be as it's no longer manufactured, and that might mean there ...
