Re: Nearly bought a Macan

The kids are already bigger...one is 24 (in care as he has learning difficulties), the other is 19, working, but back home again as he split up with the girl he was living with a few months ago!!

Re: Nearly bought a Macan

... I did have a test ride of a KTM Adventure a few years back and was mightly impressed, comfortable, fantastic engine and superb handling, but being a Triumph guy I ended up buying a 1200 Explorer. I had a Tiger 1050 for 3 years before the KTM. Did 60k miles on it! Gave me tinnitus in one ear fro...

Nearly bought a Macan

I almost bought another KTM last summer...miss 2 wheels!

I blame the ex wife, it was worry (after she fecked off) about the kids if I had a crash and either dieing or worse being maimed that stopped me riding. Bitch [emoji23]

Re: Nearly bought a Macan

So, although not 100% decided now haggling over price of a car and the part ex offer for mine! I've questioned the dealer about the DPF issue. They won't give any concrete info other than saying they've not had any customers with problem cars, and it's the low mileage/short journey/low speed cars th...

Have you driven a Macan SD yet and if so for at least an hour on mixed roads?
Hi. Yes, mixed roads but not for an hour. Probably 20-25 mins. Intend to ask the dealer for a longer drive before I make my mind up.

Re: Nearly bought a Macan

.... The bigger question is whether you need such a prestige/expensive car for that sort of mileage. A modern Passat for half the price will be just as good. A first world issue for you It's nothing to do with need...my V40 is a perfectly good car and only has 62k on the clock. It's about me having...

Re: Nearly bought a Macan

Can't really comment on tyre wear as I have only done 4K miles but I would think its about 15k miles per tyre. What's the spec of the car you are considering. I've only recently started looking seriously...will buy from a dealer (I know costs more, but it's a piece of mind thing, especially when sp...
