Re: Question about Porsche (Macan GTS) interior build quality (rattles, squeaks, etc)
... after washing, each time I raise and lower the tailgate more water appears. I have to raise and lower it 4 times to properly empty wherever the water is being held. That IS a pain, was same on Gen2, I'm blaming the slope on my drive, 5+ degrees, which I reverse down. Are you similar, level or n...

Re: Question about Porsche (Macan GTS) interior build quality (rattles, squeaks, etc)
My Gen 1 S was solid but I am disappointed with the Gen 3 S. I have an annoying vibration coming from the drivers door, a noise from the back of the pano roof that sounds like a loose parcel shelf and the engine (possibly aircon) sounds rough at idle once warmed up. I have had it in 3 times and nois...

Re: OPC Freebies in 2021 - What to expect?
I think BMW lost the plot 14 years ago when their ultimate driving machines became ultimate parking machines. Now their small cars (which get bigger with every generation?) are all front wheel drive. They are chasing Audi and have lost their USP. I bet Alfa are delighted.

Re: OPC Freebies in 2021 - What to expect?
Unlike an earlier poster I've had nothing but good experiences from Wilmslow sales and various freebies like coffee cups, espresso cups, red leather key rings etc. They usually gave me an interesting Porsche loaner when I had my car in too. I didn't get anything from Stockport except an unveiling wh...

Re: Uneven tyre wear from new?
I'm relieved to be told this morning that the tread depth readings from the ramp are not accurate. The manual readings are all between 6.1-6.4 with no uneven wear. Just hope now they can fix my rattles.

Re: Uneven tyre wear from new?
Thanks sounds like a good plan. What's a GD? I think I can guess your meaning from the context.

Uneven tyre wear from new?
I've had my brand new Macan S two months now and it's been a real pleasure apart from a couple of cabin noises. I took it in today to hopefully fix a rear rattle and a buzzing from my drivers door. They still have the car. While I was there they (Porsche Stockport) offered to put it on the ramp and ...

Re: Observations from a second time Macan owner
I'm also a second time Macan S owner but I went from a Gen 1S in black to a Gen 3S in night blue (http://www.porsche-code.com/PNFM2850). Loving the colour especially in the sun. I also added Sport Chrono and I am cautiously using Sport mode during the running in period. With added PASM and 21 inch w...

Re: Petrol S - resonance on acceleration
I picked up my new petrol S today and noticed it within 5 minutes of driving from the dealers. Last time I had a noise like this was on a 1998 BMW 520i. After a year or revisiting the dealer 6 or 7 times the fault was identified as air con pipes oscillating at certain engine speeds. The fix was to b...
