Re: Porsche slow to BEV Macan

I think they probably did the saloon first because they were production limited. The Y is basically the hatch/crossover version and there is a Golf sized hatch coming next. The 3 is actually more practical than it looks. The boot is tall and deep and the rear seats fold flat. Things like bikes go i...

Re: Gtechniq Treatment

From my research ppf will help protect against stone chips as it’s a physical layer. Ceramic coating will not but will provide a nicer finish more akin to wax but (hopefully) longer lasting rather than the 1-6 months - seen claims of up to 9 years but various people on the forum disagree with that....

Re: Gtechniq Treatment

It won’t stop swirling,if like he says, he takes it to his local car wash who will use the same sponge on every car. I agree with Tracky, a properly applied ceramic coat will reduce most swirling. It won't stop scratching, it will reduce but not completely stop stone chips. There has to be ...

Re: Gtechniq Treatment

No is the simple answer .Ceramic coating won’t stop your local car washer with a sponge from swirling the paint. It should help a lot if it is done properly !! It won’t stop swirling,if like he says, he takes it to his local car wash who will use the same sponge on every car. I agree with T...

Re: Oil change porsche macan s

Is it still every 20k miles with the new engine line-up ( appreciate this is slightly off topic as this post referred to diesels) ? The interim and major services are the earlier of 20000 miles or two years. With the Audi v6's Oil services will be earlier if the sensor records the oil getting dirty...

Re: Crazy used prices

I'm hoping to shift my current car before the bubble bursts on used prices but unfortunately I don't have any idea when my new car will be available. Awkward situation. The press is reporting global shortage of aluminium will keep new car production low so I think it is going to be some time before...

If the OPC not being allowed to add their customary swirls, your detailer should give you a discount!! ;)

Re: Oil change porsche macan s

Yes Neil us correct. You need to take the long road and ensure car reaching full operating temperature i.e oil re 90 Deg after each cold start.
I would not postpone/ delay change if car saying needed as could trigger warranty issues.

Re: 2022 Macan Build Dates

I would not get too excited, the changevin date will probably mean the vehicle just sits on the dock at Emden rusting for 4 more days.
