Re: Another new SD owner

Hi RyanK. Welcome to the forum. Your car is very close to my SD bar a few items. Has yours got the black exhaust tips? If so, try cleaning them with WD40 and a clean rag. Works a treat. Mine had a new transfer box at 20k and the heated seats have a mind of their own. I also only recently found out t...

Re: Heated steering wheel

I looked at retro fitting a heated wheel. I think they are made in Latvia as there are plenty on the net for £800-950. This weekend, I spent £50 on a pair of leather gloves.

Re: Thinking about selling my Macan GTS

Oh yes, the trade-in experience. It's not just Porsche that do it. I once went to a BMW main dealer in Manchester with an 645 coupe with a big spec and he didn't even bother to look at it before the bloke made a derisory offer, I asked to see the manager but he was the manager! No PASM on your car? ...

Re: Service items, Macan SD?

I think servicing is somewhat like ceramic coating on cars. The cost is in the application not the raw material. Not everyone can apply ceramic coating correctly and I believe not everyone will be able apply the necessary bits to a Porsche. I agree their are specialists out there that don't have big...

An EV would be an hour minimum
No it wouldn't. More like 30-40 mins max. IME with a Tesla and they are getting quicker.

Re: Ceramic Protection - GardX CX2

Mine is coated with Gtechniq by a professional, took 5 days and £1100. So I doubt what you are being offered is any good. Be aware that the products you have to buy for cleaning are expensive. Billberry wheel cleaner, pro detailer, surfex degreaser etc, etc I use the Bilberry wheel cleaner, it's gr...

Re: Selling my 2017 Macan SD

If I became Boris (or Jeremy) tomorrow the company car (in all its iterations) would die....................... Oldies like me on this forum can remember a time before the company car. It came about as a means of getting around government imposed salary increase restrictions. In the beginning there...

Re: New Macan Out in 2021

I agree Technology is part of business, but I stand by my assertion that face to face is always best. Relationships cannot be built over a Skype call. As for EV's, range will be an issue for certain users such as the emergency services. Now they can call in at a garage and fill up in 5 minutes with ...
