Re: Keyless entry .. Dont spec it..

Hi Rickz, Did you get that Stoplock pro for your Macan and did it fit OK? There is a Stoplock Pro Elite which is more expensive and as far as I can see the only difference is that it has a deeper bend that makes it able to fit more cars. Obviously I would go for the cheaper version if it fits but ne...

Re: Strange stains on B & C pillar trims...

I recently had my B pillar trim replaced under the original 3 year warranty because it developed “spider cracking”. Not quite the same symptoms, I know. You will have to look at the thread on spider cracking to see the difference. However, the fact remains that I got mine fixed foc.

Re: Rear Camera Lens

Just noticed this post and had to comment. My reversing camera has always been poor right from new. I just supposed that was normal. Is it?

Re: Spider cracking to b-pillar trim

Just noticed that one of my B-pillars has these spider cracks. I have a few days left on my original warranty so I shall be getting in touch with the local dealership tomorrow. Hope they give me no trouble!

Re: Which Nav version do you have?

Well my dealership are standing firm about not giving me a free workshop upgrade. I don’t understand how some owners are getting this but not others. Anyone know how long the free Porsche Connect lasts for? On the website it says three years for a Taycan but that this period varies according to mode...

Re: Which Nav version do you have?

Today I received a reply from my local dealership which is Hull. They tell me that after talking to Porsche Customer Services they are unaware of any updates. I should add that they know my version is 2017/18 and are telling me that Porsche is unaware of the 2019 version or any subsequent ones. In a...

Re: Which Nav version do you have?

Charles, you said that you could have updates FOC as long as you had a PC subscription. I thought updates were free to everyone as long as you were inside the warranty period regardless of whether you had a PC subscription.

Thanks,

Re: Which Nav version do you have?

Thanks Nick, I have read previous posts, some of them quite old now, but I formed the opinion that even trying to download updates oneself was fraught with a lot of uncertainty and disappointment. This being the case I have no desire to pay for Porsche Connect, something I have managed without for t...

Re: Which Nav version do you have?

I have a 2018 car running a 2017/2018 version of the NAV database. It’s warranty is coming up for renewal in October so I thought it best to get an update before it expires. I phoned the Hull dealership this morning and was told that they had not come across an update being available in a dealership...

Re: Extended warranty

I have just receive a letter reminding me that my warranty expires in October. Warranty costs compare with other manufacturers I guess but I have searched roadside assistance and I got a quote from green flag of £44 for a year which includes call outs at home and onward journeys. I can’t see what be...
