Independent garages or not?

Hello all, It's coming to the end of my Macan's deal and it's time to look at options. I've loved the Macan S. It's been an amazing blend of performance combined with real world practicality. However, I think the one fly in the ointment is the servicing costs. At over £500 for an oil change and £190...

Re: To Bose or not to Bose?

I'll qualify by saying I've not heard the standard system, but I find the Bose system incredibly disappointing at a grand. Harmon Kardon systems in BMWs puts it to shame. That may have been the issue for me, I came from an upgraded HK system and found the Porsche one a bit disappointing. Maybe its ...

Re: My first Porsche

Incidentally this is where I ended up. http://www.porsche-code.com/PK4HKLA9 Dropped SCP, but stuck with pretty much everything else...including the 21” Sport Classics. I did like the Turbo Design wheels almost going with them, but the Classics just screamed hooligan at me. Oh and a last minute dithe...

Re: Rear Light Bar

For what it’s worth, I like it too (though biased as I have a deposit in a mk2). Different strokes and all that. The original rear lights look a bit too ‘hot hatchy’ for my liking where as the light bar gives a greater impression of width to the car. Reckon you’ll see more and more examples on other...

happy days wrote: Fri Jan 11, 2019 12:10 pm I agree with the surround cams - absolutely brilliant. Same with the heated steering wheel - yummy. The LED lights swivel in the corners too, same as the PDSL+.
When you say LED lights, do you mean the standard ones swivel or is PDLS+ needed for that?

Now that’s a fantastic looking car. Suprising how Volcano Grey can look so different depending on the light.

Re: My first Porsche

More great advice.... To be truthful, the lure of the 21" Sport Classics are proving very hard to resist. Sometimes, no matter how much advice you give someone, they ain't gonna listen! I'll take the air suspension to at least help and just drive like Miss Daisy up the track. All this adv...

Re: My first Porsche

Welcome, slysheep! :) You asked for pics of a Volcano Macan with Sport Classics in black. I know it’s pre-facelift, in the US and a Turbo, but it may help a little... ;) Thanks Wg Cdr. That's a handsome looking car. Loving the Sport Classic look, maybe I just need to learn to drive slower on my tra...

Re: My first Porsche

Thanks all for some great points of view. I'm a member of so many different forums that it's nice to see such a helpful bunch, it certainly encourages one to take part. The spec is certainly more than I think is comfortable, so it's helpful to know what I can really live without. 1. Think it mostly ...
