Re: Brexit

Mine has agreed that they will keep the car as stock and that if there is a 10% hike I have the option to leave it with them. Expected date 31st Oct!!!

Re: Some advice prior to pick up pls

Congrats on the imminent arrival of your Macan S! :) I too would generally pass on most Porsche ‘extras’, as they earn a massive profit margin for the OPC, so are consequently not normally great value for money. Regarding the various insurances (wheel, tyre, gap, dent, scratch etc) I tend to self-i...

Makanik wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2019 10:17 am Personally I would avoid any extras from the OPC, you can generally do better elsewhere - if you need them at all.

I’ve found LV very competitive for insurance. I’ve just paid £290 for my new Macan S (max NCD, retired, rural, £600 excess).
Thanks !! Do they offer a gap insurance?

Some advice prior to pick up pls

Hi everyone. Firstly thanks for all the useful content. It really has proved to be useful and enabled me to configure the spec and place my order. I should be picking up my S in a couple of weeks (apparently). Order placed in June. So ....I have a few questions which will help me with my current pha...

Gen3 Glasscoat

Hi all. So some advice would be appreciated. I am working through whether i should get Gen3 Glasscoat applied from the Dealer. They assure me it is a great product and that the application procedures are robust I’ve done some research and it looks pretty good....but this is mainly from owners of Lex...

Re: Brexit impact

My deposit is not at risk now, I can walk away and get it back. The harder conversation comes tomorrow as I can’t sign the agreement as it’s worded for reasons I’ve stated above. I’m a bit surprised that I’m the only person in this position on this forum. I’ll let you know how I get on Hi there. Yo...

Re: Delays at Emden

I agree it is sounding very worrying! I am thinking of cancelling my order. I called today and what was supposed to be a September / October delivery is now November....I am told that the policy has also changed and that there is no question now around the 10% hike. It will definitely apply in a no-...

Re: Gtechniq

Hi all. I am taking this slightly off-thread.... what are people’s views on Gen3 Glasscoat? I am told this is a super hard-wearing coating that works really well. Applied by Porsche Sheffield for £400. Has anyone had any experience of this product ?
Thanks
