Re: Power steering plus
I fail to understand why anyone spends Macan prices then does not include the useful driver aides! I had power steering on my 1985 Honda, and Porsche omitting it as standard as they also do with the rubbish standard cruise. Because I do not want my Porsche to feel like Toyota. I had PS+ on my old S...

Re: Macan gts - 16 plate. Disc size 345mm or 360mm?
Just had a look on there, seem to be cheap in comparison to euro etc. what pads did you mate them with? thank you I got the pads from OPC as they were as cheap there and I have warranty so didn’t want to look too fishy. Make sure you stick with the Brembo discs as they are OEM. The bolts on the fro...

Re: GTS - Acceptable wear and tear?
I have a set of 20” spyders and a set of 21” sport classics for my GTS. I find the spyders almost impossible to kerb, so if they are Kerbed then it’s definitely unloved. Even the 21” are quite hard to kerb if driven normally. I changed my brakes at 35k miles, so that doesn’t seem to far out. As for ...

Re: Macan gts - 16 plate. Disc size 345mm or 360mm?
My son is a mechanic and he has access to the Porsche workshop manual and it states 360mm. They certainly are 360mm on my June 2017 GTS as I changed them last year, bought from Autodoc.
Let me know if you need any help as I have changed the front and rear discs, pads, sensors and bolts.

Re: Just joined the forum - shopping for a Turbo!
I test drove a standard Turbo with air suspension, and then a PP without. I preferred the ride on air, but was drawn in by the extra power and ‘exclusivity’ of the PP, so a Turbo PP with air suspension it is for me. There’s a few comments about them being rare - but I’ve got several saved, one I’m ...

Re: Just joined the forum - shopping for a Turbo!
However, if you buy privately and the car still has a months warranty for example, you can extend straight away without a 111 point check. So that may be the way forwards. It’s only if the warranty has expired you need to wait 90 days before renewing. Also, the warranty is invalid if you buy from a...
