Re: Windscreen wipers

Just keep the old wipers and swap them back if you are worried about warranty. They fit in a couple of minutes.

Re: Collection day tomorrow

Sounds as though the transfer box warranty is the same as they get in the USA. Porsche UK have kept that quiet.

Re: Gen 2 clear lights

And if you do get the clear lights fitted keep the old lights and swap them back when you sell and then sell the clear lights.

Re: Possibly leaving the Macan fold

Well after 6 years and 3 Macans I am now considering leaving the Macan fold. As I have now retired I don’t really need the Macan. For day to day I can manage with my wife’s car and for the weekend I have a Boxster. Will therefore post in the Sale/Wanted section of the forum and if no interest will ...

Re: 111 point check

Please also be aware that internally Porsche dealerships call the 111 check a CTI inspection report.
If your car is a manual car you can also ask for the DME Over Rev report.

Re: 111 point check

I asked for the 111 point check sheet before I collected my Boxster on Saturday and received it in advance of collection. I also asked for all 4 wheels to be alignment checked and adjustments carried out to put the car back to factory alignment as far as possible. I am glad I did as the alignment of...

Re: Early DPF problem

My first Macan between 2014 and 15 had no dpf warnings. My second Macan had no warnings for first two years. Only after the first service following a software upgrade ( actually a downgrade) did I get regen warnings. A further software upgrade seemed to have resolved matters. However my third Macan ...

Re: Early DPF problem

There have been a number of DME software updates to deal with the dpf issues. You were lucky to be able to regen the dpf after a yellow warning and limp mode. You should normally get a grey warning light first but I once had the yellow limp mode with no prior grey light warning. As I don’t do much m...

Re: Possibly leaving the Macan fold

@mark-yorkshire, from your signature you’ve owned a lot of Macan SD’s. As the owner of a MY14 SD myself, can I ask why you changed it 3 times for newer models? Am just curious in case I’m missing something :-) cheers! I ordered my first Macan before the model name was even known. I put my name down...
