Re: Cooling fan runs after short trip Macan SD
Are your radiator flaps opening? I've just swapped my SD for a turbo and surprised to see the flaps open having never seen the radiator from the front on the SD

Re: Water in boot
Hi, if you pull the drain plugs from the tailgate and see if water pours out?
I had a battery submerged in water but it was more the pano roof drain being blocked than anything else but my tail gate was also full of water which overfills into the battery area.

Re: Macan S Diesel - Brake & Disc Costs??
When my brake warning light came up I found wear sensor wire had broken. The other side had already been shorted together by the previous owner or the garage I bought it from. I'd been keeping an eye on my pads just by looking through the wheel and seeing how the back of the pad stood off from the d...

Re: Battery Compartment Flooded
I found my battery compartment full of water this time last year. The battery shorted and the airbag lit. Porsche wouldn't reset it until they found the source so I got another garage to do that. I duct taped the roof up for the rest of the winter and then and come spring and during lockdown I sorte...

Re: Macan S Diesel - Brake & Disc Costs??
Got quoted about £1200 by dealer. Did it myself over the last couple of weeks with Brembo Pads all round Brembo disks on the back and Delphi disks on the front circa £300 the lot, plus new front caliper bolts from the dealer at £16. It was far easier than I thought it would be with the number one th...

Re: Rear Rotor Specification?
They're the same as the diesal S starting life at 34mm at the front and 22mm at the back then the min thickness becomes 32 and 20 according to the macan manual.
Apparently this only really matters if you permanently drive it hard and can go less.

Re: Front fog lights
Yep noticed same this morning on my S D, Porsche "good to know" app says indicator comes on at both positions for front and rear but in reality only comes on at second click for rear. Glad to know, from this forum, that this is how Macans work before I start pouring over electrical schemat...

Re: Macan SD
To appease my better half I had to say good bye to my BMW 640D Gran Coupe because my father in law couldn't get into it nor into her 1 series without a considerable kerfuffle. Having now had my S D for a week I've gone from feeling a bit miserable about the whole thing to OMG I should have done this...
