Re: Spec advice

Nice spec. I have the agate grey leather seats, with 8 way adjustment which seems to be fine. Mine also has the standard 18 inch wheels which give a comfortable ride - 21 may be harsh but others can advise. At £3k for the wheels I would put the money elsewhere, but that's me. Mpg from my S is 28-30 ...

Re: Dented by dealer but not informed

Covering up mistakes never ends well. Just ask Nick Lesson or Kweku Adoboli.

Re: Proof In Car Tech does Distract

One of the things that sold me on the Macan was the array of physical buttons compared to its peers.

Sooty exhaust pipe Macan S petrol

I noticed the other day that the far left exhaust pipe on my 2015 Macan is sootier inside than the others. Far right one seems to have some sort of valve in it.
Is this normal?
It is still under under Porsche Approved warranty so I'm extra sensitive to any possible issues.

Re: Hi, 1st Macan, delighted so far.

Thanks, I'd seen some previously with black window trims and black wheels and I do wonder about going in that direction. But not rushing, ;) Not sure about black car, black trim and black wheels. I like the contrast of the silver wheels & window trim against the black bodywork. :) Yes, it's ver...

Re: Service Costs

The mechanics at the specialist indy I use for my old 911 are all Porsche-trained, and once the Approved Warranty is up on my Macan they'll be servicing that too. Much as I adore and cherish my Maccy, it's a car, not a stealth fighter jet, so I'm sure it'll be fine, especially as I tend to keep cars...

Re: Collected at weekend

Two weeks in and enjoying the car. Incredibly smooth ride and very fast when I want to play. I’ve yet to drive it around in manual mode as the pdk changes gear so well. Only minor thing is the auto headlights which seem to be always on, even in bright sunlight. Is there a way to change their sensiti...

Re: Collected at weekend

Here we go. These are from the dealer. One of the things that sold me on the Macan vs all its rivals was the interior. It might be an age thing, but I much prefer physical buttons to faffing about with a screen menu.

Re: Collected at weekend

Spec is Black with agate leather - a sort of browny-grey, which is nicer than it sounds. Wheels are the standard 18 inch and it also has sport chrono so Sport Plus button as well as Sport. Then there's the useful things like roof rails to fit a bike rack and a cool electric towbar if I ever need to ...

Collected at weekend

Picked up my Porsche Approved Macan S at the weekend. Great service from Porsche Newcastle and a nice long drive down south via Hartside Pass and M6. This ia my first ever automatic, and I have to say, the PDK in Sport mode made a much better job dealing with the twisty A686 than I ever could in man...
