Re: Would you risk buying click and collect.
Agree a smallish deposit on a credit card with the OPC. That'll get rid of the sales pressure "we've another buyer interested" etc Makes the arrangements and go and collect it. If anything's not right when you arrive, then you can argue with the OPC and walk away (with your deposit back) i...

Re: Base, basic Macan
Basic spec is cloth seat middles. Might not be so practical with kids. Leather seats are another £1k.
If you're open to used, there are Gen 2 2 litres out there for under £50k now, even from OPC, with good specs.

Re: Wanted - Facelifted 2.0T Macan
They won't budge on the price. They'll throw in Autoglym paint protection OR GAP + alloy wheel and tyre insurance (£599 RRP) but they won't discount the car unless I drop the extra year of warranty. The car will however be fitted with 4 brand new tyres and serviced. Need to think about it... If the...

Re: Negotiating on approved used
If I bought an absolutely bog standard brand new Macan today Porsche thinks it'll be worth 63% in 3 years which is remarkable. I'm only looking to buy in December/January because we're both working from home until at least 31 Dec so we're getting by with 1 car for now. If you ordered the Macan now,...

Re: Negotiating on approved used
The M340i is an impressive machine but I think the pricing is crazy (over £50k for a 3 series!) and you should be prepared for savage depreciation. Realistically a £54k list M340i touring, brand new, should cost you no more than £45k. Stock is tight generally in the car market, hence some silly seco...

Re: How easy is it to sell Macan privately
Plenty of cash buyers out there. A car with the right spec and price will sell privately easily. Just last week a forum member sold his 2019 Macan within about 2 days. Advertised on here and Autotrader. The warranty is attached to the car for the first 3 years, so nothing to do. Spec and price combo...

It was listed on Autotrader at £55990 (perhaps £55995 but you get idea), so a reasonable guess is he took £55, £55.5k or £55.75k for it.
Lovely car.
