Re: Use it or look after it!
The procedure I follow is as follows ( if car has not been used for a few months) 1. Before starting check tyre pressures and fluid levels (oil needs time to warm up though)...oh and disconnect battery charger and check windscreen wipers not stuck to windows. 2. See if car will rock forward with a g...

Re: Use it or look after it!
Yes agree that it would be better to run it more frequently but it won’t start falling apart if not Beg to differ.....if the car is a few years old and degradation of the seals / components has started...not using or at least not looking after it will cause problems. More so of course if the car is...

...and that’s why he said “almost” However, having moved out to the country where the roads are great, but full of undulations and of course hedges and walls...I reckon on some B Roads I can make better progress in my Macan than the Atom, only because of visibility  Before my Macan I had a ch...

Re: Rear bumper protector
Carbon fibre look RGM one for me....installed myself in less than 5 mins and 6 months on showing no signs of wear at all. I could never be bothered with the pull down flap as it was always in the way.

Use it or look after it!
Given the sad state of lockdown we are all living in (OMG over 1 year!) and the fact most companies are now introducing remote working hybrid options, I think it is becoming VITAL we start looking after our cars differently: 1. Cars need to be driven.... and that means regular (weekly) runs of > 30 ...

Re: AdBlue & Engine Control Faults
It’s not so much the fuel....but the length of the runs! Stop using these cars for the school run or the once a week run to Tesco / sorry Waitrose and they will be fine!
Cars NEED to be used!!!

Re: The Most Unreliable Older Car
Would you guys stop breaking your cars.....you are giving us a bad reputation  More seriously, I do wonder if the average Porsche owner is more fussy and less tolerant, so runs back to the dealer with the slightest of complaints....most Land Rover owners are quite happy to live with warning li...

Re: GTS power output
Hmm, got a feeling the YouTube video might not be a standard GTS! Power output and 0-60 times also don’t necessarily correlate...tyres, surface, slope, temperature, wind can all make a massive difference, and in the good old days before launch control and PDK, so did driver skill. These cars are mas...

Re: Winter / Snow driving
I understand your pain....my head office is in Houston and my boss and all his colleagues can’t believe what’s going on!??....they can handle hurricanes and flooding, but not snow and ice. Off Road button on, turn off traction control if you get stuck, put it in manual and keep it slow and in low ge...

Re: Winter / Snow driving
Must admit, have been reasonably impressed with the Macan’s capability in the snow with its All Season tyres. To get out of my drive, reasonably steep and with 8” of snow, I put it in Off Road mode and took it easy...slight wheel spin at the steepest bit but all good. But if you want real go anywher...
