Re: OPC Recommendations for Servicing Up North
Just wondering if there are any OPC’s a reasonable distance from Leeds that aren’t utterly useless? Might be a long short, but surely someone must be getting good service somewhere? Porsche Bolton Service Centre have always been excellent, I've given them a lot of business over the years - email An...

Re: Porsche inflation (sometimes best not to look)
That feels like a reasonable increase Simon in 6 years circa 3.5% a year.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 6:00 pm Just done a comparison myself.
My Carrera T was £89,235 in April 2018.
A similarly specced T today comes out at £107,560.
So in just under 6 years, the price is up by £18,325 or 20.5%.

Re: Unleaded or super unleaded?
The Super unleaded is classed as E5 - i.e up to 5% ethanol content. Standard unleaded is usually E10 which means up to 10% ethanol. Ethanol is the stuff in the petrol that can cause corrosion to engine parts. Personally I always use fuel with the lowest possible ethanol content for my 911 for that r...

Re: Macan EV
Electric cars really do take a hit in this sort of weather - currently my MG4 EV long range with a quoted range of 280 miles - I'm struggling to get more than 160 miles with the current temps.

Re: Macan EV Official Launch Date!
Get yourself a 2016/17 diesel E220 Merc. I have one as my long distance and airport car park vehicle and it’s amazing with its lightweight twin turbo engine and way cheaper than an EV. £20 a year road tax, average £400 a year servicing by a main dealer and averages 60mpg with an 800 mile range on a...

Re: Macan EV Official Launch Date!
My view - and this is just my view and may not be shared by others. Taycan, Macan EV are all fantastic electric cars and they work for many as company cars because of the tax benefits. But if I'm going to spend significant money on a Porsche then I want an ICE for those memorable fun journeys and h...

Re: Ferrari GTC4 Lusso
Absolutely agree with your comments FSL - on paper the differences between 997 and 991/2 may not be that different but the cars definitely feel different on the road.
I like the Purosangue but it's twice the price of my 992 Turbo!!

Re: The one Millionth 911
A beautiful very individual 911, my mate has a 991 50th edition and it reminds me of that car - houndstooth interior and nice individual touches.
