Re: Newbie considering a Macan and have a few questions

In the end I've just paid off the balloon payment on my current X5 and going to wait until after the pandemic when all parts are available. Waiting until the pandemic is over could be just the same as sending the apprentice to the stores for "a long wait". :D :D If you're still a fan of M...

Re: Newbie considering a Macan and have a few questions

IMO, (other opinions are available) all the jlr cars I drove before prior to the macan were a let down in terms of driving dynamics. Yes, they have more powerful variants, like the svr models, but none of them can hold a candle to the drive of the macan. This is what tipped us into a macan gts. Als...

Re: Would you risk buying click and collect.

I have agreed a deal on a used Macan Turbo, and for the most part am safe in the knowledge that the car will be in tip top condition as I will be buying from an Authorised Porsche Centre. However, I have never sat in the Macan before and have read that some people don't like the 18 way seats and it...

Re: Macan Turbo seat and spec query

I’m 6’ 2” and been retired a long time, my current S has the 18 way seats and my Cayenne before it had them, the most comfortable seats I’ve ever had in a car, no problems getting in and out. I’ve now got a GTS on order and have specced the same seats. Only option I miss on my S are the LED headlig...

Re: Which Fuel Octane

Sorry for the thread resurrection but I’m collecting a 2017 Macan Turbo in a few weeks and whilst I intend to use super unleaded, if it’s not available for whatever reason I assume it won’t do any harm to use normal premium 95 RON fuel?

https://www.themotorombudsman.org/distance-sales-faqs?fbclid=IwAR0sQJlFiwcfUwoS_FEFprdgv29pcPZDzapWszPUD2nOr6og1jdkdrSEKdc Thanks. Yeah, that’s what I read that states that click and collect is not considered distant selling and therefore not covered by the 14 day returns policy :( However, if you ...

Re: Would you risk buying click and collect.

I’d go the other way and make sure everything was conducted remotely. You are not going to be able to test drive the car etc when you pick it up. If you ensure all payments and contracts are signed remotely and paid for remotely then DSR kick in and you have 14 days from when you pick it up to chan...

Re: Would you risk buying click and collect.

Agree a smallish deposit on a credit card with the OPC. That'll get rid of the sales pressure "we've another buyer interested" etc Makes the arrangements and go and collect it. If anything's not right when you arrive, then you can argue with the OPC and walk away (with your deposit back) ...
