IMHO, I prefer the 20s because I like seeing a little more tyre wall on the rim, to complement the overall look of the car.
Plus the 20s give a better 'all round' performance.
Pig to clean though...

My SD always averaged above 30 mpg - which is acceptable for a 2 tonne car.
But you don't buy a GTS to think about fuel consumption.
