Re: Collecting New Macan on 01/09, what to expect
My most important tip, based on my actual experience, is insist you make all your checks including most importantly for bonnet misalignment before paying the balance owed on the car. Do not rely on the PDI done by the dealer to ensure the car meets expected production standards for a premium brand. ...

Re: Bonnet alignment
Impossible to tell as Porsche are clearly not transparent about the issue to customers but I suggest covid is a smoke screen. The real issue is those cars affected should not get through the pdi done by the opc and be released for sales handover. If the customer flags the issue at handover then the ...

Re: Bonnet alignment
Agree it is the step that is the problem not gap. Modern cars especially Porsche should not have this problem. Porsche can do and should do better in controlling quality and fixing the problem before the customer receives the product.

Re: Bonnet alignment
My car, a 2 month old crayon base macan is now on the tewkesbury opc for sale. It appears to have been for a second rectfication for the misalignment which I highlighted to them and largely progressed until gave up and obtained a full refund. If fully rectified the car will be an excellent purchase ...

Re: Bonnet alignment
I particularly agree with Nick's comments. I suggest my experiences are not common. The dealer was apologetic and said he would look into the situation and thanked me for sharing them with himself. Exceptional customer service is aften delivered when things go wrong as they also get talked about. Le...

Re: Year 2 Inspection Service Costs
These issues with service cost inflation and variability of costs quoted leads me to believe each opc needs to be questioned about costs quoted, what is involved with a detailed breakdown of parts and labour before commiting to the work. It is your money so they should supply this before you commit ...

Re: Bonnet alignment
Sad day yesterday as I sold back my 2 month old gen 3 base to my opc because of body panel fit issues and poor opc point of sale and after sales service. Basically Porsche AG supplied a sub standard car and the opc did not pick it up prior to sale (at pdi) and subsequently did not fix it quickly and...

Re: Real MPG
Further to my original post. Just completed a journey from cotswolds to Yorkshire achieving 34 mpg including urban, country and motorways with some hiily work around Bradford. My 39 mpg figure resulted from country and motorway work and the low avg speed resulting long stretches of stop start motorw...

Re: Real MPG
Just like to add my 2 penneth on fuel economy as I have just got the base gen 3 with its increased fuel rail pressure, power and torque. I attach 2 recent readouts for a 220 mile each way to and from Cornwall. Overall to date I am achieving 32.5 mpg. When it gets to 2000 miles I will increase revs a...
