Price shock - new fuel cap

IMG_4840.jpeg

I just purchased a new fuel cap to replace this broken one, on my 2016 Macan, from Dick Lovett Porsche Swindon

Was shocked at the price - £10.82 ( only…. :D )
They even had it in stock!

Probably the cheapest Porsche part I’ve ever bought…

10 seconds to remove exhaust trims

I know that no forum member would ever allow their exhaust pipe tips to become grubby. But if they had a friend, like me, with grubby ends, they might like to know that each tip can be removed in less than 10 seconds, by unscrewing one easily accessible torq headed bolt, and applying a quick wiggle....

New 21ins tyres needed - prices/recommendation?

I havn’t been around here (forum) for a while, so have lost touch with the market - advice please I need a new set of 21ins summer tyres for my Macan Turbo ( 265/40 & 295/35 ) Currently on Pirelli P Zeros, and previously liked the old Michelin Latitudes. Any one with recommendations / prices / r...

Re: 40k Service RPM Technik

Apologies - my comment was ambiguous. I meant to say that the recent Vehicle Health Check on my current Macan (a Turbo) indicates that the front brake disks will require changing at the same time as when it needs new pads. Indicated cost £958.88 inc VAT. This is what happened with my previous Macan ...

Re: 40k Service RPM Technik

You should expect to require new discs, in addition to pads.

I did, when I ran my SD to 55k miles, and latest service report shows my Turbo heading in same direction...

Re: Is this normal (rust/corrosion)

I think brake hub/disc rust like that is normal - they rusted on my SD. Cosmetic only.

So when I part-exchanged it for a Turbo, I painted the hubs - see my post

viewtopic.php?f=29&t=7784&p=161601#p161601

2 years later - still no rust :)

Re: Roof cross bars for my MacanPorsche Macan S 2020

Hi - I have a set, new & unused. I purchased from Porsche with a new Macan SD. Specified a tow 'bar', so I ended up using a ball mounted bike carrier. I later part-exed the SD for a used Macan Turbo, that doesn't have roof rails. Have kept them in dry storage since new, in case I changed to a ne...

Re: Is the rear diffuser difference with electrically extending towbar factory fitted?

Would be interested to see a photo when fitted.

I modified (cut) a standard rear diffuser when I fitted a Westfalia - but tempted to source a ‘factory’ one now that you say it fits....
