Re: PDK Reset

PDK reset never seems to do much for me. Maybe my driving style is already Porsche optimised :-) You may well be right; lower mileage “week-end” use (less populated roads, more opportuity for fullish throttle, etc, etc) is possibly the answer. My own use (10 - 12 K per annum) necessarily involves f...

Re: Just ordered new 2019 Macan today

Maybe not so much a special edition but more a "standard" pre specified model. It's their way of getting cars certified under the new regulations as it avoids hundreds of possible specs needing to be tested. Great choice although I would be waiting a few months for the much more desirable 3.0 litre...

Re: A good wash & polish

I use a water filter from Race Glaze for the final rinse on the car as it just sheets off and saves time and potential scratches from drying with a towel. I also bought a cheap leaf blower to blow the sitting water from the mirrors and doors, sad I know, but it works for me. Many years ago someone ...

Re: Its hell out there

If you had still got your SD Col, the saved fuel cost would have paid for you to go back on the M6 toll... and I doubt your Turbo got you there any quicker ;) Go back to an oil burner, wash your mouth out  Best thing I did was swapping to the Turbo, its engine delivery is soooo much bet...

Re: Delay with voice recognition

The voice recognition in my SD is pretty useless. It's much quicker to press the button you need or scroll down to what you want. It was exactly the same in an Audi I had. By way of a contrast Siri is brilliant and Alexa on my Amazon Dot is like talking to a person. Why can't Porsche match these? +...

Re: Its hell out there

+1 There’s alot to be said for “retirement”....we stay at home at the weekend, never venture out during school hols, and most of my long runs to take my youngest Karting are at silly o’clock with little or no traffic👍 (Although, I confess to having coming back around the M25 from Folkestone / Maiden...
