Re: Porsche PCP - Help !!!

👍 Congrats, (and on the move from used to new) Fully understand the PCP route from your previous posts but, as Wingco says, you’ve now got 6 months to source alternative providers (Clydsdale are a favorite on here) Then, with the savings on the finance, we can help you spend the surplus on some more...

Re: Porsche PCP - Help !!!

Back to the OP (and to re-ignite the heart bit of the argument😉) ....get a quote for 4 yr finance (or even 5 if you get it on a used car.) The rate will be cheaper, payments probably similar and if you intend to settle next spring you may find the total interest payable over that short period will b...

Re: Taycan Official Launch

Latest development is I have to pay the VAT up front along with the deposit for the finance arrangement and I can't claim this VAT back, which I find ludicrous being a VAT registered company. This would stretch my business cash flow too far. It's a shame as everything looked promising. Serves me ri...

Re: Lack of transparency on service regime

^^ True, for some dealerships but less so for (many) others. I knew more about the servicing regimes than the salesman when we bought Mrs P’s TTS 18 months ago and had to call the service manager over to get the correct coding booked for the PDI; QG1 is (was) the default, so unless it’s requested th...

Re: Garages and Dash Cams

If you go on youtube and search Mercedes Bristol dashcam (or something similar) you’ll see 2 technicians ragging a customer’s car around, buying sandwiches, going to the cashpoint etc.
Not saying this happens all the time......😉

Re: Lack of transparency on service regime

Many years ago I worked for a VAG dealer. At the time, computer driven service intervals were just coming into being, prior to that it was time/mileage bound. The dealership had the option to set whether the service interval generated by sensors or time and distance. I winder if the same is true th...

Re: NFU Insurance for Macan

The only slight “downside” to NFU is the theft excess (£1600 on my policy) but outweighed by the other plus points.
