Re: Who else....

No real need to cool down as such but what used to cause no end of issues was on the early fast spinning turbos, people would habitually blip / rev the engine just prior to switching it off leaving no lubrication at all on the spindle as it had just been set off on a high speed whiz!

Re: Macan S Diesel - Brake & Disc Costs??

They are telling me min disc is 32mm and so 32.3 leaves no room. Will ask original thickness. THe prices are definitely that way round, they have now come back doing it for £1,224 for the discs and pads including VAT Ah, OK....I know it’s splitting hairs but you’re not yet at the minimum thickness....

A bit like when you go horse racing and bet on a horse with long odds.....but because you have created an interest in that horse the odds then shorten......😉 ....only you never actually part with any money (😂😂)

Re: Glasgow OPC

Sounds like a catalogue of disasters from all areas of the dealership☹️

Have you shared this with anyone at the top? It would be interesting to guage their reply (if only to see whether it is a company-wide culture which won’t change until the DP changes, or whether it’s poor middle management.)

Re: Insurance 30% hike...

I think the LV site is very slick - it even auto-populates your driving licence number (apart from the last few digits which you input to validate.) Seemingly very clever, but actually only your surname and date of birth......!

Re: 3.5 months & onto 4th courtesy car

Its the “ as described” bit of the act you’d need to use (Homelink opens your garage door) and the “ satisfactory quality’ (the option purchased for a specific reason, doesn’t work) ..although the fit for purpose bit can be used “whether or not that is a purpose for which goods of that kind are usua...
