Re: Warning sign in Multi function display

The same yellow warning sign appeared on my 2015 Macan after it was serviced in September. But even more bizarre is that the PCM now makes tinkling / jingling noise for a couple of seconds every time the car starts up. I thought perhaps it was to signal a Bluetooth connection or something similar bu...

Re: Dozens of annoying things about...

Some list! I can address point 7 on the rear fog light. This is to meet regulations. Only one fog light is factory wired depending on whether the car is left or right hand drive. By only having one lit up, it helps avoid following vehicles mistakingly thinking you're braking. Hi Paul I have seen th...

Re: Dozens of annoying things about...

Quite a list. I assume that there are some positives also if you’ve kept the car for 4 years? Point 11 concerns me. Stopping the car in these situations is the drivers job, not some semi automated system. Stay alert. Hi Alfanut Thanks for the reply. As you say, in most respects it is a great car. I...

Dozens of annoying things about...

Prompted by scp I thought I would add my rather longer list of things that are wrong with the car. It has always been a source of annoyance that after every service one is bombarded with questionnaires and surveys asking one to rate the so called "dealer experience" and whether one enjoyed...

Re: Climate Control

The noise of the aircon was, and still is, one of my biggest complaints about the car.

Re: Rear Light Bar

It's not the best design they've come up with, in my opinion. The rear light cluster has a feel of the 928 about it on the outgoing model and it is arguably its nicest feature. I greatly preferred my last 928. Far simpler and cleaner lines - when they employed designers rather than stylists. Porsch...

Re: Accident

I would advise against using a claims management company. After a minor accident, in which someone ran into the back of her car, my partner was persuaded to use one recommended by her Audi dealer with the promise that she would be given a brand-new loan car while the work was carried out and that th...

Re: Old v New side by side

It is hard to see any real improvement - just change for change's sake. No doubt motivated by a desire to make the older models look slightly dated. As for the interior it seems a completely wasted opportunity. So much needs doing it is hard to know where to start. At the very least I would have exp...

Re: What's your worst rattle?

the plastic bit in the centre of the dash above the PCM unit.... drives me mad at times. Hi tuizner Just to say I had the same problem - and had it fixed by the OPC when I took it in for the 101 point (mega expensive) check. I was told they added some padding beneath the grill. Incidentally, you sh...

Re: Porsche Macan Washer Jets: unblocking adjust replace

I believe there is a special tool to adjust the jets but it is very simple to make something similar from a piece of two or three core cable and a needle. Just cut a length of, reasonably stiff, two or three core cable about 180mm long and then push a needle into the end of it with about 15mm protru...
