Re: Macan Turbo new engine set up v previous any personal experiences

I think the 2.9li Audi power unit is impressive. The turbo’s ‘withIn the v” give good low down torque and it keeps on pulling right through the rev range. You can begin to hear a reasonable sound at 4K revs plus. To me the sports exhaust makes little difference. I believe the design enables a lower ...

New Turbo vs Old

Plus
Improved handling and brakes, Larger HD pcm, GT s/w with mode switch, upto date styling, “eager” engine right through the rev range. ‘Feels’ quicker.

Re: Succumbed To Temptation - GTS On Order

Welcome to team Red! Great spec. My comment, FWIW, the sports chrono and mode switch I think most people would “expect” on a GTS and if you plan to keep it for a few years, look at the tungsten carbide coated brakes. These are heavy cars to stop. The disc size is bigger at 390/356 compared to 360/33...

Re: Turbo Performance Pack Advise

FWIW I have owned both. A GTS, my first Macan, then switched to a TPP. In my opinion they are night and day. You have the GTS chassis, the glorious sounding 3.6 and an extra 80 bhp. The mpg is if anything slightly better and my insurance was £20 less. I deliberated hard about changing mine as I love...

Re: Only gone and done it! I blame you all!

I was on the Evo Triangle yesterday with my GTS, it has PDCC and 4ws. Although one section has ave speed cameras it’s still a fantastic road to stretch the legs of a 911. Most of the roads in Wales I was happy to have PDCC on. I think if you can you need to try both back to back. I can certainly liv...

Re: Payment Methods

Hi Mrs Macan Congrats for saving and paying cash for your new Macan, one of the few free “options” from Porsche. Many would just dive in with a monthly payment, it will mean so much more to you. Re the cash transfer, I usually go a couple of days prior to handover and get the painful part done, you’...

Re: Hi First Porsche!

FWIW my TPP has used 3li in 12.5k two years old. The light tends to come on after a good thrash on a register trip or handling day. My GTS before that used nothing in 8k and one year old.
