Re: Turbo v Gts

Given that the GTS is a downrated version of the Turbo (as the Turbo came first), I'd agree with the suggestion that the only difference is mapping.

Re: Tyre sizes and emergency use of back wheel on front

Kleynie: you're right and I'm wrong. Using the configurator and hitting the information button for each wheel size shows the differences.

Re: Tyre sizes and emergency use of back wheel on front

Surely it depends on the offset of the wheels? My front wheels have 265 tyres and I assume at least 9J, so why wouldn’t a 255 on a 9J work if the offset is correct for the front? From Macan Brochure:wheel sizes for Macan and Macan S Wheels Front: 8 J × 18 ET 21, Rear: 9 J × 18 ET 21 Tyres Front: 23...

Re: Base Taycan for £70k.

Interesting comment in that Autocar review. The Taycan has proved to be a real success story for Porsche so far, becoming the company's second-best-selling model in the UK after the Macan SUV. For the first nine months of last year, Porsche registered more than three times as many Taycans as it did ...

Re: Macan S oil service

Thank you - it says oil change in 7900 miles/ 17 days. I have hardly driven it since the pandemic started tbh - mostly short trips as you've said. Only you know how you're using the car during this pandemic (mine hasn't turned a wheel since mid-December). If it's just sitting around apart from the ...

Re: Tyre sizes and emergency use of back wheel on front

It's not just the tyre tread width you have to think about. The front wheels are 8J and the rear 9J. So at full lock, there's a risk of the wheel rim fouling the wheel arch but also because of the wider wheel the tyre width will be greater at the widest point of the sidewall. I fully support everyth...

Re: Brake light on - question

If your SD happens to be fitted with air suspension don't forget to disable the self levelling before jacking the car up (instructions in the manual).

Re: Replacing 4 year old S with new GTS

Just a few thoughts. I had the Pebble/Agate interior on my SD and think it's fabulous but you have to give up the GTS interior if you spec it this time around. The GTS interior is available with the standard seats and the 18 way sports seats. I don't know if the Macan heated windscreen is any better ...

Re: Porsche 911 Carrera T

Your car looks absolutely stunning. Just as good as it did on arrival.

Are you preparing to put the first car through an MOT since you joined the forum or does your "I must change my car" itch require a good scratch?
