Re: 2nd Macan ordered

Given your desire to keep the spec light, the only addition I would suggest is having the rear apron mid-section painted. It's only £312 and makes a difference for every colour except black and night blue. Yes, actually my SE also recommended painting the rear mid section, and it is something I’ll ...

Re: Interesting day at the office...

As the wheels on a Cayenne diesel are identical front to back, the fact that they were on the driver's side when put on the car yesterday does not mean that is where they were when last on the car unless the summer tyres are uni-directional. If I were the Sales Manager, one question I would ask on T...

Re: New to the forum and Porsche

I think that Crayon/Chalk will become more popular as more people see them out and about. 8-) One man's meat is another man's poison as the old saying goes. Saw a Panamera in Crayon on the road last week and was not impressed. Of course, I am a fully paid up member of the Sapphire Blue club. :D

Re: 1000 miles in New Macan S

Sorry to hear of your experience to date. I've tried to help by answering in bold italics below. Good luck Hi, Needs eighth gear. Gearbox does not automatically change up when in manual. Does not disengage unless you flick righthand paddle. (Audi / VW gearboxes do) Not sure why you think it needs a...

Needs eighth gear. Gearbox does not automatically change up when in manual. Does not disengage unless you flick righthand paddle. (Audi / VW gearboxes do) Unlike some other manufacturers, with Porsche manual means what it says. No offence but your post reads as if you didn't research what you were ...

Re: Diesel Service Campaign WARNING.

It might be worth searching this forum for the transmission reset procedure. After reset, the transmission will then "learn" how you drive and adapt itself accordingly.

Re: Macan S steering is heavy

Thanks guys for your replies. I am currently driving Bmw 5 series and planning to move to Porsche. Noticed steering heaviness. In latest Bmw with active steering, you can handle in one finger. Going to test drive glc43 and BMW X3 M40i. Cheers, Simon J . There are one or two forum members who mainta...

Re: Side Lights

(But isn't this thread about sidelights, whatever they are?!) I presume (I don't know) at some time in the past 'sidelights' must have been on the side of the car carriage. That's one for Susie on Countdown. As older forum members (like me :) ) will remember, there was a time before use of dipped h...

Re: Side Lights

I understand that all Macan gen 2 have LED lights, however... * Standard Macan has 4 round LED’s * The vehicle on the right has optional adaptive/turning lights, with squinting bar LED’s * The vehicle on the left is gen 1 with optional Xenon lights, which are very bright as well. The one following ...
