Forum members are more likely to recognise problems with the transfer box because it is well publicised on this site. Just because you have a 50% failure rate on a small sample size doesn't give any indication of how many failures might have occurred on the 16k total UK Macan population.
Hi amf, welcome to the forum. I agree with MikeM, you should go for the painted rear apron. It doesn't matter with the darker colours but with light or bright it makes a difference. The absence of a painted rear apron is very noticeable with white. I used to have a Cayenne with a black interior and ...

DaveS, You said that you bought your Macan from an OPC. If it's an "Approved Used" car then it should have a two year warranty. IMHO the best course of action is to go back to the OPC and claim under warranty. If, as other posters suggest, there is evidence of a respray then the claim will be reject...
Hi All, Happy new year. I am new to this forum and I plan to order a new Macan in 2019, maybe 2nd half of 2019 depending on delivery time. This will be my very first Macan/Porsche so I got a lot queries which I would appreciate your comments. a little background: currently drive Jaguar F-pace 2.0T ...

Into Grimsby and Sheerness, same for the whole of the VW group. Porsche use space on the VW ships. I think they have a priority on space allocation. Last May, my wife's VW Tiguan stood on the dock side at Emden for three weeks. At the same time forum members were reporting speedy Porsche deliveries...

Hi Speed CAD and welcome to the forum. My wife and I had a similar experience with VW delivery dates for our latest Tiguan. Forecast 12 weeks delivery turned into 26 weeks. Glad we persevered though as it's a great car. When I ordered my Macan SD in January 2015, my OPC forecast 14 months delivery b...

That is a really interesting article. To me, the problem with global warming is that there is a body of people who say "the science is proven and there is no need for further debate. Here we have a scientist who has put forward an argument based on a series of facts. Why can't there be a proper peer...

It might be worth reading one of the threads on winter tyres. If you went for 18" wheels, it would only be a few hundred more than buying a set of 21" All Season tyres to replace the summer ones. Once you've actually driven in winter on proper winter tyres you're unlikely to go back. You have a love...

I’m off to New York on Boxing Day until the new year, then I have a hip operation on the 16th & advised I shouldn’t drive for a while after. OPC is aware of this so I’m told it shoukd all be sorted before then. Thinking about my options if I’m offered derogatory money. I think I’ll give them the ca...
