In the past when I have had a car not being driven I have just run the engine for about 20 minutes each week sitting on the drive. That kept it fine with no need to charge it
Not recommended by Porsche - better for engine if you 'drive immediately' apparently.

How are you connecting the CTEK to the Macan?
Through the 12v socket in the centre console.

Re: Flat Battery.

Just a word of caution/experIence with the CTEK. I have a 2014 Cayman and a 2016 Macan which both do fewer than average miles and can both be left standing for several weeks at a time. Both vehicles have their original batteries. The same CTEK charger is used on both vehicles individually when the b...

Re: Wheel choice v maintenance

I am firmly in the 'classics' camp - but I may be biased! My 2014 Cayman wheels still look good. Non acidic wheel cleaner and micro-fibre mit👍

Oh - and plastic caps for wheel nuts🙄

Re: Keyless entry .. Dont spec it..

A coule of things that may be of interest 1 If I had to park on my drive rather than in a locked garage then I would take a leaf out of my Motorcycling days and fit a Ground Anchor to the drive then put the chain through a wheel of the Macan and lock it in place, thieves would have to have serious ...

Had exactly the same issue on my wife's JCW. I suspected someone's shoe on one of the wheels whilst washing the roof?
Luckily my detailer managed to polish them out!!

Re: Keyless entry .. Dont spec it..

Interestingly/Shockingly - my house with Macan on drive appeared to be 'cased' last week as the CCTV showed a suspicious motorcyclist taking photo of house/Macan! Local police informed but unable to get clear reg number of bike. I wonder if they suspect it has keyless entry and drive(which it hasn't...

Thanks.
Who did you get to polish out the scratch?
Was it a local company to you, or a big windscreen company like Autoglass?

I assume (?) that if a polish is not successful, I can go down the replacement route?
It was a a local professional to me:

Re: Wiper scratch

You will need a professional glass polisher with the correct paste and pad and thermometer. I know because I have had the same removed from my Cayman. Lots of buffing and checking temperature to ensure laminate in glass does not distort - but it will remove a light scratch. Good luck!

Re: Door Cills

I have found that it tends to be the painted door entry area below the plastic trim that tends to get 'clonked' by heels of shoes on entry in particular. I have had these areas covered in PPF by my detailer so now the 'clonking' does not scratch the paintwork.🤗
