I read that by the time the 3rd Heathrow runway is opened >2026 they will be levying a £15 pollution charge on passengers travelling to the airport by car whilst at the same time apparently improving the public transport infrastructure - eg a link from Read...

RIP Nikki Lauda

Yesterday we lost one of the true F1 greats. RIP Nikki Lauda. Fondly remembered here a few years ago by fellow Macan Forum member mistertoad . Nikki used to drive our Lauda Air ((VW Combi) Crew buses out to and back from the aircraft as if he was trying to catch Hunt the Shunt! Had any of us driven ...

Re: Latest PCM , I'm not impressed

It’s interesting to note that Leica, the most respected name in camera (and instrument design), are increasingly moving back to dials and switches for essential controls. ...the M10 allows all essential shooting parameters such as distance, aperture, exposure time and ISO values to be preselected wi...

Re: How 2 Coast 2 Coast

Coast can be induced by changing up - sometimes needs two quick flicks of the right paddle. Quite often I can induce it at quite low speed and low gears eg drifting down an incline in urban traffic. Ed. Can even induce in 4th, sometimes 3rd. When changing up from a low gear - say whilst cruising at ...

Re: New Macan S MPG?

I regularly do a 20 minute run under similar circumstances and consumption varies from around 20 to as low as +/- 18 depending on weight of traffic and weather. Regular cross country runs of about 30 miles can deliver between 25-30 depending on the right foot and use of ‘glide’. The heavier the traf...

Re: Summer Winter Tyres

Toto Wolff - “So what do you think of my new tyre strategy Lewis?” Lewis - “I think it sucks. You’ve given me one set of extra hards and told me they’ve got to last all season! All the other guys have got three sets of softs, three sets of mediums, three sets of hards…” Toto -“No, no, no Lewis, it’...

Re: Summer Winter Tyres

I’ve run AWs and as above I drive to the conditions.

I’ve always been of the opinion that the argument in most of the U.K. comes down to at which end of the temperature spectrum you’re prepared to compromise.

Re: Porsche 911 Carrera T

Isn’t this the second time? Second episode of unwanted attention that my T has attracted in its 13 months, Mike. :( First was a deliberate scratch with a knife or similar that I haven’t got around to sorting yet... Could this be the result of your colour choice. Society impinging on personal freedo...
