I would ring around different dealers. The waiting lists are not the same by any means as the bigger dealers have a much larger allocation. We did that initially and got no guarantees that things would be substantially different. We've now used a sizeable chunk of our car fund on an expensive holid...

Just traded in my XK8 to take a Macan Turbo, Jag dealers are a complete pain to deal with, whereas the service from Porsche Bristol has been nothing short of faultless.

[Brings me on to another question - why do German cars (generally) not change the clock automatically. On many cheaper cars the clock updates constantly via radio signal.
My Audi does, surprised Porsche don't use the same system.

It wasn't in any way a criticism, just how it looked on my monitor, everybody spends their money on whatever they want, just look at the spec on mine, I am sure I could live without most of the options I have ordered but don't want to.
