Re: OPC Cambridge non service

I've always used Hatfield. Not the cheapest as others have stated. Owned by Porsche UK, service is good. I had a broken window switch that needed replacing under warranty and they managed to fit me in a week before the warranty ended. It's usually a 3-4 week wait unless you need a loaner, then, like...

Try Top555 Ltd. They're based Lincoln way and specialise in high end cars.

Google them.

Re: Warranty Extension and first MOT

I recently had a snapped drivers window switch replaced under warranty. I had to take it in before the original warranty ended because it wasn't covered under the extended warranty as it was considered trim (despite being essential to opening the window) Looking on the USA Porsche forums it's a very...

Re: Payment

I paid the 3k deposit on a debit card but was asked by Hatfield OPC to pay the balance by bank transfer prior to collection. This was 63k though, so a debit payment may have been a bit more difficult. I had no problem with this as it was a new car, if it was used I'd definitely want to check it over...

Re: help/advice please...

Mine was done at 2.5 years so no issue. Legally they are on safe ground but I would expect at least a 50% contribution as it's a known and well documented fault. There's always a 'sale of goods' complaint but I would expect some goodwill from the OPC rather than a protracted legal battle. Bear in mi...

Re: help/advice please...

That's the transfer box alright, I'm afraid.

Does it also not happen when cold, but only when up to temperature?

Book it in at the OPC, mine was changed in 2 days, along with the 20k service. Done without any quibble.

Not driving like Miss Daisy (or her chauffeur) if most of those miles are motorway, dual carriageway and/or major A roads. ;)
Yep, thinking about it, that's most of my driving.

I was getting worried I was losing the  for a bit there. :D

Re: Macan Turbo: discs and pads

I'm on 44.5k in my SD. My car came back from the OPC last week with a report of 7mm left to all pads. They're original so I must be driving like Miss Daisy I guess.

Re: Is my First Porsche a Mistake

I sent mine in on it's last service reporting a transfer box issue and it was replaced immediately. Two days for both service and replacement box.
They're aware of the problem and keep the uprated boxes in stock (Hatfield OPC).
