Re: Mr JWW buys a Macan Turbo Performance Pack

I wonder how long he’ll keep it once he realises how small/impractical the Macan boot is. I mean I took other half to the airport the other day and couldn’t even fiit just one oerson’s luggage in the back. Were you dispatching her forever?! Plenty of room for our luggage for a three week holiday. I...

Re: Transfer Box Replacement

I've just had mine replaced at 40k when it was in for its service. two and a half years old. It had been playing up for a few weeks so I warned the OPC and they had it replaced along with service in 3 days. And I got to rag their 718 Boxster around in the meantime.

Re: Extending warranty?

I extended my warranty by 2 years after a year. As the SD is no more I've decided to keep mine for 5 years. I've just had my transfer box replaced under warranty at 40k miles and 2 years 7 months. I believe it's a 2.5k cost job. if you've not had yours replaced yet it's worth bearing in mind. OPC sa...

Re: Macan S diesel heated seats??

If I know Porsche they would charge you full replacement of both. Say 1k for the steering wheel and probably 2k for replacement front seats. Plus fitting of course. Best bet is to simply find one with those options fitted.

Re: SD residuals - What's the verdict?

As an SD owner, 2.5 years old and just coming up to its 40k service, I'm one that would probably be ordering the facelift if it was available in Diesel. As it is, I'm going to hold on to mine. There's nothing else in Diesel that I like, except for the SQ7, but it's just too much of a barge for me, p...

Re: Oil level measurement currently unavailable

Agreed. Whenever I've added oil (generally 1l every 8k) then it takes a couple of days before it will show a reading.

Re: Getting a good deal

I did manage to wrangle a Porsche cool box out of them that plugs into the 12v socket in the boot, but I think as a result I sacrificed my Porsche photo frame. And trust me, I'm sure it would be easier to get 20k off a Merc than a £120 cool box from Porsche. I'd have a go for the wheel warranty, any...

Re: Macan SD - 1st oil Service , now quicker?

Mine has always shown an oil change required at 600 miles before the 20k and 40k services. Hatfield OPC said to just ignore it and stick to 20k intervals for the oil change.

Re: 991.2 - the missing months

The PEC cars are already registered so it won't be one of those. My guess is that it was a showroom car for a few months and registered after that.
