Re: Bodywork scratch - advice appreciated.

Thanks, Ian. Good points. I’m definitely leaning towards the smart repair route. I’m confident that a nearly perfect repair will do. Especially as the car is a daily driver and not a garage queen, so bound to pick up a few nicks & chips here and there, doing 15k to 16k miles per year. Being only 3.5...

Smart repairs can do amazing things so I wouldn’t rule it out. At a Porsche body shop you are likely looking at a new bumper.
Now a new bumper?!?

Can't see that being a smart repair as it would never go back to a perfect finish. Full bumper respray required.
Hi MCDK,

You feel confident that a full bumper respray would be required, despite the fact that the damage is only 3.5cm in length (as stated above)?

Cheers,

I believe that thread pre-dates Porsche’s announcement that it would not build any diesels in the future (although they’ll continue to be available from other parts of the VAG group). :geek:

Re: 2l or S - and what should I spec?

As a spirited driver there are some Must Haves in any Macan you should have to maximise performance and handling, namely:- PASM 21” wheels 18 way seats Sports Chrono. The above are (or were on pre-facelifted S and base variants) the Extras on base and S models that anyone wanting to maximise the pe...

Probably not a bad guess. Like a Mission E and a Panamera had a love child! ;)

Re: SD residuals - What's the verdict?

Welcome, skipper! Yep, Porsche have said they won’t be making any diesels in the future. Your contact in the OPC isn’t very well informed. Or he was being economical with the truth. The 2.0 is the first facelift Macan model available, but it will soon be followed by 3.0 S, GTS, Turbo etc...

Re: Carrera T on winter wheels/tyres.

Same here WingCo.. Just got a 20" set of silver Carrera S alloys with winter tyres fitted this morning.. Seemed like a good deal from Porsche Kendal. I nearly went down the same route in getting 19s but the 20s were only £80 more expensive for the set. Your 19s will feel super comfortable and will ...
