Re: Getting rid of 'privacy' glass

No apology needed. ;)

My first two Porsches were silver, and very smart they were too.

It’s just that my yellow 911 makes me smile more. :)

Horses for courses... 👍

Re: Getting rid of 'privacy' glass

On the whole I like privacy glass but think it somehow looks wrong on a 911 which is very evident in the above photo. Macan looks great and 911 next to it just looks wrong to me. Maybe it's just the rear sides that do it but it looks unbalanced. Not a fan of PG, but think that Gulf Blue 991.2 GTS l...

Interesting. Almost everyone on the Rennlist 991 forum seems to swear by Michelins. :geek:

Re: UK Best Driving Roads

Hi Nick, Yep, on 3,149 miles now. Averaging 46mph and 30.1mpg according to the Connect app on my phone. ;) Loving the car more all the time. Have taken it past 4,000rpm a number of times now, during enthusiastic bursts of acceleration, but not taken it to the red line yet. As you say, the grip is te...

Re: Getting rid of 'privacy' glass

Was just remembering back to the old days, when actually having the glass tinted at all was an option... Otherwise, it really would be clear glass all around.

Re: Getting rid of 'privacy' glass

I opted for clear glass all round on my 911 and much prefer the clean look. I haven’t once missed the tinted glass having had it on my previous cars. +1. I too much prefer the non-privacy glass look. To be accurate, I think that even our non-privacy glass is still tinted, as opposed to being totall...

Re: UK Best Driving Roads

Slight correction if I may Col, the Limit Point is where the two sides or verges of the road appear to meet, ie the limit point of the Tarmac you can see. You use the limit point to adjust your speed on approach to the bend, judging that you can stop if necessary in the distance you can see to be c...
