Re: Macan transfer box
I just took my Macan S (2016) to the Porsche dealer for an MOT last week. In the notes they had, "suspect Transfer Box fault". I asked as it was still under extended guarantee (for another 2 weeks :) ) could they fix it ... They looked a little bit like "Gotcha" but replied ... y...

Re: All weather tyres
Its that time of year again when we start thinking of winter tyres. I see I posted on this thread already ... I've now got 43K miles on the Latitude all weather tyres, but I really need a new set of tyres. Its clonking away and grumbling when maneuvering very slowly. What's the latest think on this ...

Re: Tyre tread depth for warranty renewal
I'm coming up to my 5th year with this baby and at 39k miles the tyre tread is looking safe enough to pass an MOT
But will I be granted a warrany extension.
I cant remeber if this car has ever even asked for a service yet.
It must have had an oil change.
Must check the history book.
Back later.

Re: All weather tyres
I visited my local Tyre dealer today to find out about "N0" tyres and why Porsche insist on them. Jeff at Tyre Pros in Royston sorted me out. So now I know, the "N0" is a tyre structure that can take the sideways shear force created by cornering. A bit dissapointed .... I liked t...

Re: All weather tyres
I just popped in to see what is the current thinking on all season tyres. I've had my Macan since March 2016 and I spec't it with the "All Seasons" tyres I was a bit disappointed to find it was shod with Mitchelin Latitude Tour and that did not have the "Peaky" Symbol on it. I pr...

How 2 Coast 2 Coast
Does anyone have any idea of what the conditions are for the Macan Diesel to go into "Coast Mode" I can sometimes get it to coast when I lift off the pedal but often not, and I cant work out what the algorithm must be. I've been the proud owner for over three years now and still haven't do...

Re: 3 months in - Macan S Petrol and squeaky brakes
Exactly WinCo ... There only has to be some exotic motor in the right colour looking for a good home and you just cant leave it there. Like a puppy in the dog pound. That would really get the neigbours talking .... It would not be a "mid-wife crisis" thing though ... for me it would be an ...

Re: 3 months in - Macan S Petrol and squeaky brakes
Cheers Guys, I am a bit worried about going to the main dealer because I'm concerned I'll end up getting " skimmed " I usually do. Seriously I have to be careful ... I could end up going in for a brake squeak and end up ordering another car. My MacAn will be three years old next March, and...

Re: 3 months in - Macan S Petrol and squeaky brakes
Hi Guys.
The squeak turned up on my nearside front a few months ago, it does seem intermittent and usually when I've just started a journey.
I read somewhere on the web:
"Use a milk spray, lotion or cream on the back of the pads"
I'll pop into the Porsche Dealer and pick up a pint.

A joyous and Easter Brethren,
Here endith the diesel lesson.
I shall go forth and from this day embrace the new gospel of petroleum spirit.
