Re: New Member - sanity check

Just my two pennies but I would recommend air, ptv and 20" wheels for a full range of superb handling when in hooligan mode, and deep cosseting when tired and emotional

Re: Various Issues @ 10k

regarding issue 1, see my comments and B737NGWS comments in the post: what's your worst rattle ? It is likely to be the cover on the underside of the dash, the one above your shins in the driver side footwell. It is poorly fastened. Mine is now fixed with double sided tape in various spots.

Re: Early oil change?

I'm intending to keep my GTS for about four years or around 75k miles, so I changed the oil and filter after 1000miles. Expensive and maybe a waste of money but it gives me piece of mind. There were some glistening very tiny particles of metal in the filter.

Re: What's your worst rattle?

My worst rattle started at 6000 miles, coming from the drivers side, a big plastic cover which goes from the footwell up to the under side of the dash. it seems to be only secured in three sides, the bottom just fits over the brake and accelerator pedal arms. I have stuck it with double sided tape ...

Top 10 slowest depreciators: Macan 10th!!

I was just offered £57.5 k for my 6 month old GTS with 7000 miles on it by a Porsche centre. cost was £68500 . Seemed a bit low so I will keep it for three years at least. I was considering a new Panamera but it was a fleeting whim anyway. The article is not in the real world............

SC Needle - Red or White

Just to add to any confusion, I ordered Garnet Red dials and SC, and got white needles on tacho and speedo, and a red needle on the SC clock. And I do wish the SC clock was matching in white......
