Re: Porsche Experience Day

Personally I think tuition at PEC should be mandatory before taking delivery of a high powered car Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Very wise. I have frequently suggested that anyone going to the PEC ask their Instructor to take them on a couple of demo laps where the Instructor shows them the li...

Re: Need help with light spec

Wilpert The short answer is Yes. The difference between xenons and LEDs is the same as between halogen and xenons. I have owned Macans with xenons and my cutrrent Macan has LEDs, they are superb, will light up the next county. Its not that xenons are poor, they are very good in themselves and for th...

Re: New macan owner cumbria

Oly.

Lack of badges is a selectecd option, I have no model variant badges on my own Macan.

If you make a note of your VIN number and go into Kendal OPC they can access the build on the system, this will give you the exact spec of your Macan.

BTW
Kendal OPC is where I bought both my Macans from.

Re: New macan owner cumbria

Welcome to the forum.

The SD has been a very popular model, do search out the DPF issues that some owners have suffered from and ensure your drive profile minimises the risk of the dreaded limp home mode.

Re: Macans in Jersey Channel Islands

Hardly worthwhile having a Macan or any premium car on an Island with a maximum 40 mph speed limit. Sorry for going off topic but the most Ferraris I ever saw in one place was in Hong Kong which also has a 40 mph speed limit. In the late nineties, most of the Mercedes S Classes (the W140 tank) were...

Re: Macans in Jersey Channel Islands

If there are any SDs they will probably be off road with DPF issues.

Fiesta is the perfect size, it is what we hired when on holiday there.

Re: New Member and advice please

Contrary to what SAC1 says about fuel consumption. My SD never, ever showed anywhere near 40 mpg on the MFD, well it did, going downhill coasting. Actual measured mpg was a lowly 33. Current Turbo averaging c22 mpg. Would expect a petrol S to be averaging c26mpg. Doing a spirited 136 mile drive aro...

Re: Macan SD - hits and misses

The problem is that the criteria currently do not stack up. Don't stack up in what sense? That there's no car currently available that meets them - yes, agree 100%. But I don't see any reason why they couldn't be met if a manufacturer chose to do so. Golf R typically achieves a consumption of 26-29...
